The "Hitchhikers might be escaped convicts" line is referring to the cop that tags along with you. He's corrupt and turns on the player if you get all the audio logs.

Some of these details are different in certian versions like the orignal 360 American version had a poster saying something like destiny showing a object very similar to the traveler right next to earth while MCC changed it to the for her poster.

343 changed it to For her to not advertise destiny... just feels like they felt salty about bungie leaving, can confirm this is true as I have the OG ODST loaded on my Xbox 360

@@Firefrab It's not so much that. For the MCC, almost everything if not definitely everything Bungie related was removed. For copyright reasons. Like the Marathon symbol for example. And they removed the Destiny poster just in case to not cause issue.

Fun fact: in Halo Combat Evolved, Jackals have a complete set of animations for using the needler, including reload animations, despite never using them. These can be seen by giving Jackals Needlers in the Halo Editing Kit

13:56 On the Xbox 360 version of ODST, if you skip that opening cutscene entirely, Romeo starts off with a full magazine, as technically he hadn't fired his rifle. I don't believe this works anymore on the MCC version, however. 16:31 Virgil's warning is also a nod to the fact that the cop you encounter in the Data Hive is taking part in some shady business; I.E he tags along (hitchhikes) and was involved in criminal activity, most prominently murder (escaped convict)

I assume you know this but if you collect all the audio logs before encountering him and you escort him all the way he'll open up a room and if you follow him you'll see him walk up to a dead person He then says you've learned too much and shoots you in the fucking face

That officer was sent by Kinsler to confirm that Sadie's father died when his laboratory froze. Since Virgil refused to allow the cop through, the cop wasn't able to reach the laboratory and was nearly killed, being saved at the last minute by the Rookie. The cop was also unaware of the fact that Kinsler had died several hours earlier, as he presumably lost contact with everyone. When the cop learns that the Rookie plans to keep going down, you can tell that the cop is disgruntled, as he's aware that it'll complicate his plans if another human is nearby. Ironically, his orders to confirm the death of Sadie's father didn't even matter at that point, as he was the only officer alive in the city.

@@osiris_the_great6861 Basically, what holds up the space elevator is inertia. It's like when you swing a bucket of water in a circle, it wants to pull away from you. The elevator is so high up that the rotation of the earth causes its inertia to pull it away from the planet.

If you cut the cable near the ground, it's the same as swinging a ball on a rope above your head, then letting go of the rope. The ball will go flying away from you, and similarly the elevator will fly off into space, and the cable will appear to rise up into the sky and disappear.

3:38 This Easter Egg was changed from the OG ODST from the 360. Originally, it said "Destiny Awaits" and was a bit different visually. The poster foreshadowed Bungie's next game after Halo was over, Destiny, and it was completely remade for ODST's release as DLC content for the MCC in 2015. It was changed to the "For Her" poster because Microsoft and 343i didn't want to reference Bungie due to them leaving the Halo franchise. 7:38 Yes, you can't hijack all Banshees. BUT, there is a singular Banshee on NMPD HQ that is hijackable and is (I believe) the ONLY hijackable Banshee in the entire game. 12:17 There were 2 animations in Halo 3, they were just less distinguishable from one another. The first is the same seen in ODST, meanwhile the second had the player forcing the bottom of the Hammer's hilt just a bit higher, looking as if it's looking for a shot to the head. The second melee animation was changed in ODST to the player smashing the skull of any enemy with the Hammer's head.

I loved ODST and did you know Dare let an entire fleet of odsts to die all because she couldn't reveal the ture mission. and yet she said "abandoning the mission" to Buck lol and we never saw what happened to the other odsts or even what they looked like but there was a lone opened drop pod with a SMG on the floor suggesting the owner died but we never saw the odst in the drop pod

Only Buck's team was supposed to accompany Dare on her secret mission to recover the engineer. Rest of the ODST teams had the original mission of landing on the covenant cruiser to capture regret, who panic jumped out of earth since he wasnt expecting the teleport of the ark and Human homeworld to be one and same location and thus arrived very underarmed to the situation thus Lord Hood's line in Halo 2 "something isnt right the fleet that took reach was fifty times this size" Because Regret came with a mining crew. The rest of the ODST's didnt die because Dare didnt tell them her mission, they died because truth panic jumped out of a certain loss.

I just comlpeted halo ODST with 2 friends. Them 2 on xbox and me on PC. we couldnt play the REach campaign cross console so we opted for this one, and ended up getting the legendary in under 3 hours. Great stuff reliving the odstd ::DD

As a little brother, i was usually a watcher when me and my older brother played games. This is because back then, we didn't even have flatscreen tvs. So you couldn't split-screen multiplayer. We soon got a flatscreen tv right around when we got reach, but we've always had halo combat evolved, halo 3, (odst) and halo 4. But we soon split off as i went on to play playstation and he went off playing on PC. But good times those were on the xbox360.

Actually- The first usage of a combat knife was in halo wars... February 26, 2009. When Forge killed Ripa' Moramee with it. Odst came out in September 22, 2009 so your off by a fairly decent margin.
