Genene the best. You are a natural story teller. Good to see you.

This is one of iconic and epitome of our histories which we must preserve and teach the posterities. Geney, we thank you so much for your unrelenting efforts to unfold the hidden glories of Mekuria. It was a grievous mistake that we have naively colluded with covertly envious and enemies of Ethiopians proud cultural heritages and had regrettably buried our rich history in 1974 communist revolution. Now, It is becoming good and encouraging that the new generation is enthusiastically realizing that never again to destroy own history! While sometimes visiting the 6Kilo lion Zoo in around mid and late 70th, my dad used to tell me about the affection he had to and characteristics of Makaria and other prominently named lions which are obviously known to the then most of pioneer forefathers and children of Addis Ababa; especially around 6 and 4 kilo villages.
This guy is a good story teller! The hair color story is very funny!

In my recent trip to Ethiopia I bought some Amharic books tragically none of them are his work. Now I know Genene is one of the best historian and narrator so I'm going to buy them online. Finally hosts thanks for picking an excellent book and author for discussion.
Waw. This guy himself is a history and a modern library

Here in the Netherlands I share an apartment with 87 years old woman. The first thing she recalled when I told her that I came from Ethiopia was 'There (in Ethiopia) was a friendly lion and your king (Haile Silasie) also walks with lion too'. That could have surprised me a lot but thanks to Libro who shared the story two years ago I even told her more of the story like I herd it.
