Ecamm for Zoom: Live Q&A - Get your Questions Answered!

With lots of people jumping on the Ecamm Live Public Beta that includes the new Ecamm for Zoom integration, I've been getting lots of questions so figured I'd make this the topic of my weekly livestream this week!

Well done Alex. To get around the 8-person limitation with Zoom, can I send two links from ECAMM interview mode and use 8 people from ZOOM for 10 people in a livestream?

Hi Brian, Yes you can combine Zoom guests and Interview mode guests to give a total of 10.

When I open zoom meeting in ecamm no sound from zoom registers in ecamm sound levels. When I open zoom outside ecamm (the old way) interactive sound between zoom and ecamm function normally. I've been on the line trying to get help from ecamm and other sources but no success after 1 week of working on it every day. I' m very discuraged and after using ecamm for 3 years I'm considering other options.

I personally feel that the Ecamm for Zoom integration should have been in Beta for a little longer, because it does seem that there are still bugs being ironed out. In fairness, many seem to simply be related to working within the features and limitations of the Zoom SDK (software developers kit). However that does not help when someone is using Ecamm and the Zoom integration for mission critical work! Personally, for regular Zoom calls I’m using the virtual camera into regular zoom app and then Rodecaster for audio routing. I am using the ecamm for zoom integration only for workshops where I need to bring people ‘on stage’. Basically I’m still treating it as beta for the moment.
