At the circa 41:26 mark, I have a different opinion. I believe the object was indeed produced for a king, but not to hold in their hand, but to be placed at the top of a scepter, and then held, as a king would hold a scepter. The tang at the bottom is not shaped well for such an important person to hold, in their bare hand, it could cut them. It is, however, perfectly shaped to insert into a recess in the top of a staff. I also believe the fabric found, was not fully wrapped around the object, but used as adornment/accents. To fully wrap the object in fabric would obscure any details so carefully crafted by the artist, whose attention to detail is obvious. It could also have gotten there if it was placed together with fabric in a burial.

“It’s about this big by this big” doesn’t cut it. What’s the w/t ratio? How does it compare to the Walnut Creek Biface? Sweetwater Biface?

Came here looking for a video about Eccentric people and stuck around and learn something about the Mayans. ALMOST left when he mentioned the "Almost mentioned the Boston Marathon bombing" , but glad I didn't.

I feel sorry for anyone who sat through his speech unwillingly. What a boring disconnected little man.
