THE BEST piece of comedy "logic" in history....🤣🤣

Transference of utility was one of their favourite tropes - along with jokes about reproductions of money in various other formats

oh i loved this so much! ive been thinking lately i'd love if someone made a cartoon adaption of TGS, i think it could translate nicely to animation (much better than the telegoons ended up being), but unfortunately there's no fanbase and ive only seen one other animatic in general. so stumbling upon this made my day, their designs are perfect (i love how you used milligan's original sketches and improved them considering he wasnt exactly an artist haha) and i liked the details u animated on them. it was nice to see two characters i love in motion, this was great 😊

Cosgrove Hall could have done it back in the 80s.

There's a lot of Goon Show content here on KZbin, and judging from the comments, there are plenty of people who still love it - including people who discovered it through their parents and grandparents! We live in a world where the audience for entertainment is ever more fractured, so creators are learning to exploit niches for what they're worth rather than trying to please everyone. I think a Goon Show animatics project would be perfect for a crowdfunding campaign. The most laborious part would probably be getting the rights from the BBC.

Maybe the best illustration of the comedy genius that lived inside Spike's head....along with the dark things which troubled him at times.

Hang on a minute.... so Bluebottle's granddad got his grandma from his firm when he retired..? That would explain a lot 🤣

I can't remember who said it to whom, but one of my favourite lines from the Goons' Show is when two of them are talking and one says, "Is that a clock?", and the other replies, "No, it's a barometer", to which the first says, "Then it's high pressure I was leaving!".

"What time is it Eccles?" The Audience erupts in laughter. Such was the consummate skills of the Goons, for years they entertained the radio audiences in the days when radio was still "King". There is nothing and no one who can do that today.
@douglassun8456 Жыл бұрын
Bluebottle was clearly a fan favorite. His signature entrance line, "Waits for audience applause... not a sausage" became irrelevant pretty quickly because the audience did cheer the first time Sellers went into that voice each episode.

Sorry, wasn’t my choice, all my Goon Show CDs are currently in storage. I just grabbed the audio from a third party source so I had something to storyboard.
