i think that the "saw(see)" word in Ecclesiastes is telling us that "Meaningless is directed to the World's Desires and Material Wealth... and that this book is related to the conflict of the Spirit and the World... so that we need to understand that the meaning of life is about our spirit and not anything we see under the sun... so what does man get out of his toil... I think it tells me that when a father makes an effort to give good life for his family... what is important is his love, effort, intention, the personality driving him to do so... esp if he is a Godly person that is more important than the materials things that the family is enjoying.
