Thanks for the detailed review. I've been looking at this, but the complaints I've seen online about Echelon's customer service have scared me off of it. I'm taking a hard look at the Sunny SF-T722022--I'd love to see you review it; it's got a similar footprint and is also a fold-flat style. I realize I'd be taking a flier on the Sunny with its limited warranty (I did see that you included the Sunny Smart Strider in your list of best inexpensive treadmills for 2023--the SF-T722022 is a little cheaper and adds an auto-incline feature). I've also been looking at the 3G Cardio 80i. Its warranty and customer are really appealing, but it looks a little too heavy for me (I'm 5 ft / 100 lbs. and only plan to use the treadmill for walking; I'm not sure I could move the 80i by myself).

The max user weight on the Stride is 300lb, and you're pretty close to that capacity. The Echelon can be a bit wobbly for larger users. We like both of these treadmills. The Echelon, however, has more training capabilities, it inclines up to 12%, has a larger weight capacity, and has a larger and faster deck. For a compact treadmill, it does a lot. Can you please help me with figuring out why Amazon says this has a 3.0 motor? Echelon site from your link says $1299 but won't give spec details. Amazon shows $1299 for the one with 3.0 HP Also shows "new" for over $2000. Is there a premier model I'm unaware of? Or is that a 3rd party resaler trying to make a profit? Walmart says "Stride Sport" for $697... Only difference seems to be a 1.35 HP motor? Just wanna know what to look for so that I'm getting the actual 3.0 motor. For the actual price. We need a treadmill for running for heavier users. 200 to 250 lbs. Incline. Compact/foldable with a minimal footprint while stored under bed or against a wall.... If this isn't the treadmill for us, what is?
@TreadmillReviewGuru2 жыл бұрын
Amazon is incorrect, the Echelon Stride has a 1.75 HP motor. The model up from this one is the Echelon Stride-s which has a larger 3.5 peak HP motor than the 1.75 HP motor on this Echelon Stride treadmill that's in the video. Peak just means that it can increase the horsepower to 3.5 for short periods to handle higher speeds. Unfortunately, Echelon only lists the Echelon Stride-s as a 3.5 peak HP motor so we don't know the actual motor size and we've haven't tested this one. Echelon's premium treadmill is the Echelon Stride-5s which has a 3.0 HP motor, but doesn't fold flat like you're wanting. The Stride Sport listed at Walmart doesn't sound like it will work for what you're wanting. I'd say the Echelon Stride-s is better for what you're looking for, it has a longer deck and larger motor and folds flat. Overall though, a compact treadmill that folds flat is going to be more limiting when it comes to using it for heavier running. If you do want a treadmill for heavier use, we recommend checking out a treadmill with a deck that folds up because you'll have more options for running. I understand if you're limited on space though and need one that fits under a bed or against a wall. In that case, I would definitely check out the Echelon Stride-s. If a treadmill with a deck that folds up could work though, let me know and I can recommend other options. Please let me know if you have any questions.

My Echelon Stride S arrived with an inoperable screen and so far the company has refused to help. I have called and messaged multiple times. If anyone knows how to get in touch with a supervisor please let me know.

Did you ever get this fixed?

@@ChrisBurrisMusic yes. Working with Echelon customer service was cumbersome at best but after a couple weeks and several phone calls they were able to get it working.

It has a weak motor. 1.75 HP motor. I would expect at least a 2.5-3.0 CHP motor.

What does the motor determine?speed or what

I’m confused. Other professionals say this is good for running. But you say it isn’t.

Many of these walking pads/treadmills motors tend to overheat prematurely according to Amazon reviews.😡

very noisy & wobbly when running, price is high, warranty is short time, but portable for condo/apartment.

NOTE: This product works exactly as described. kzbin.infoUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!
