Antoine (the French guy from the Archie comics) was a great character eventually, but it was a bit of a long time coming. There was a whole arc where Sonic got blown up and flung into space to hang out with aliens for a bit (that's a long story on its own) but due to time dilation, a whole Sonic-less year passed on Mobius in the meantime. When Sonic finally got back, Antoine had been completely changed by warfare, becoming much more capable but also kind of a massive edgy jerk. Later, somebody on the writing staff decided they didn't like this, and said that instead of being scarred by war, he'd actually been switched with his evil mirror universe duplicate. When our Antoine was rescued from said mirror universe, he'd been somewhat humbled and became a generally much better character. He eventually married Bunnie Rabbot.

I used to talk to quite a few people who watched The Flash, Arrow, and whatever crappy comic tv show. The point of the Sifu move is to then, shortly after that pose where you turn around, either press triangle or square, and execute a roundhouse kick that will knock down almost anyone, and multiple targets, or unleash a flurry of clawing punches that disorients most enemies. It's a super useful move for knocking a few guys down at once or doing some nasty damage to a single target. But I can understand how if you're still in the trash button-mashing phase of things like Lyle here, it's more of a frustration. Just kidding, I'm still in that phase too, even though I've practiced the shit out of the game and still can't finish the museum at 20. Or beat the game. But it's a fucking phenomenal game, can't count how many times I've played through the club level, play Sifu you guys.
