The little flap that flips out on the chain oil tank is for leverage, as the caps are sometimes tough to unscrew.

The battery lasts longer with a loose chain ..and on big logs you always want to cut the tention side and not the compression side ..the 2 of 3 cuts at 11:50 thru 15:00 were cut on the compression side ..thats why the bar got binded ..no back cut is needed when cutting the correct side ..just keep practicing

Not good testing. Those are top handle saws not ground saws. But looks good.

Do you have any suggestions on the maximum diameter tree that the Echo 12" battery chainsaw would be.

If I saw a 14" tree I'd be nervous, but should be doable. Just gotta take the time and good idea to have wedge and hammer

I believe this saw was designed to be used on cut diameter within the bar length. Not that it cannot cut larger, I’d rather buy a bigger saw for those.
