Best video! I bought this trimmer attachment end of last season, as I have the multi head for my hedge trimmer. My hype was low when I saw your last video review as I had not yet unboxed it. But you have lifted my spirits today for this coming spring!! I'm grabbing this echo speed-feed! THANK YOU!!!!

Yes! I hated that I didn't like either trimmer because of the head. Turned it around and made it possibly the best combo so far! Can't wait to test it out today! Good to hear from you! 😊🤙🏾

Thanks for the post because someone just left me a comment saying the Speed Feed is the best head but wasn't sure they understood I had an EGO and it is the newest with Line IQ. Not sure they will work on our model but it is at least good to know it works on the older ones.
@YardBrah2 жыл бұрын
Oh no… line iq is the best for the 16” for sure!!! I would only use this for base model trimmers 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

Not for nothing but the Ego Speed Feed is by far superior. But it does not come on the multi tool.
@sj76012 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was disappointed when I ordered mine and found out it was a separate tool.. but not a big deal. Totally worth it when all you have to do is hold down a button

@@YardBrah so I checked Amazon, and it should work, even with an Ego’r, but you would have to check the inner shaft dimensions. I don’t think anyone has done it on KZbin yet

Love those echo speed feeds. I used to use those all the time before I switched over to ego from my gas echo equipment. I may have to try and see if it will work on my ego trimmer.

I have an Ego trimmer. Bought the Echo Speed Feed, took the Ego apart, only to find that they do not seem to be compatible with each other. I do think I have a different version of Ego from the one shown here. Just putting this out there for people to know that the Echo may or may not be compatible depending on which Ego you have. I’m probably going to keep the Echo for the next trimmer once I replace the Ego.
@dustina62612 жыл бұрын
The echo does not fit or work on the ego rapid reload trimmer. Tried last night and no adapters will work for it since the motor shaft is a notched RH thread and echos adapters are all lh
@YardBrah2 жыл бұрын
the green adapter works for sure it fit perfect!

Why did my earlier comment get deleted? Weird. Anyway, the ego head loads exactly the same way. No need to spend the extra money on the echo one.
@YardBrah2 жыл бұрын
Weird sometimes youtube deletes comments I leave all of them up 😊 Ego head loads the same way but is very hard to open up... super annoying when I'm trimming, line gets stuck and I can't open the head
@justinschuyler2 жыл бұрын
@@YardBrah true I didn't think about having to open it in case there's a problem with the line jamming.
@lew7082 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if it would work, but I would try the Husquavarna T35 head for it. The Husq head has a bump head that sticks out from the line head so that it should last a little longer from wearing out from bumping and spinning on the ground. You can just change out the bump head, instead of the entire head…The design of the Husqvarna T35 head just makes sense to me.
@Justthemow Жыл бұрын
I just found one of these in tha garbage only thing wrong with it is the bump heads worn out

Thank you!!!! I bought a used EGO 1200 trimmer. HATE the line feed; it never works when I bump and bump and bump. Gonna order the Shindawa version of this or pick up the STIHL at Ace or Home Depot.

Echo has a decent multi-head cordless string trimmer of their own, but they don't market it very well.

It will only work on an EGO trimmer with the Rapid Feed head, not Powerload head (so I'm told).

Hello Sir, I recently bought an EGO St 1530e Cordless trimmer. I did not like the line supplied with it so went to change it for my usual I have been using for years. However to replace the line you have to take the ego head apart which was extremely difficult to say the least, so i looked at reviews on the echo 400 speed head and contacted my local dealer here in London to buy one. They advised not to replace it as the trimmer may not be up to the job with it and it would invalidate my warranty on the product. Please could I have any advice from anyone with this matter. Kind Regards Graham Tarling
@YardBrah Жыл бұрын
Honestly if you want to keep the warranty I would stay away from changing the head for now... I found the Ego Trimmer was easy to fix line with just the press of a flat head screw driver. Since this video I have upgraded to the 16" Ego with power load and line iq and haven't looked back since! I Also purchased the 15" Ego string trimmer with powerload and it's just as easy just has a bump feature for the line as opposed to the Line IQ which just feeds you line as you need it! 😊🔥🤙🏾🙏🏾
@grahamtarling7431 Жыл бұрын
@@YardBrah . Hi, Many thanks indeed for your reply. I think for now I will just keep the Ego head and see how it goes. I plan to change the line again this week for a lighter line just to experiment, so will bear with it for now. Have you any idea how long the trimmer will last with normal to light use, ( Mine will get about 90 mins per week max use ) and any problems that may arise with it. I cant see that the Echo head would cause any problems because of the weight of it , when you can fit a solid steel 3 tooth blade to the machine which is sold by Ego for that machine. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Graham Tarling
@YardBrah Жыл бұрын
@@grahamtarling7431 Yeah brotha like I said if you want that warranty to work you're better off just running it to the ground for that 5 year warranty then updating it if you absolutely hate the head after 5 years warranty is up. Me personally I don't use warranty I just buy another one if it breaks or try to fix it and upgrade during the fix 😂😂😂🤙🏾
