Today i'm playing a new game called "Echoes of Extinction".
The game is in it's early days of development and they only have recently released their first tech demo but things are moving fast for this game and everything looks very promising.

Looks interesting. Not sure how I feel about humans being in it. I prefer just Dino’s usually. Love that we can at least play as the dinosaurs though. Not really the biggest fan of passive growth as people usually hide until adult on games like the isle, though on here water seems to be a big factor in not being able to do that hopefully. Probably won’t be able to play it as I’m PlayStation but maybe in the future depending on popularity I may be able to give it a try one day. Did chuckle at you falling in the river when you finally found water… twice :D

Hey Julesie 🙂 From what i can see, the game will offer a pretty complete experience for both humans and dinosaurs so if someone only wants to be a dinosaur, i'd say it's fair to assume that there will be enough to do as a dinosaur to play only as a dinosaur. Same goes for humans, if someone wants to experience living in a world full of dinosaurs but don't want to be one themselves, the game will offer that too 🙂 Something tells me that a lot of Rust players and Ark players will probably come to this game to play as humans and build camps. There is a good chance that i'm gonna be one of the dino's they have to worry about lol 😅

Balancing seems it’s gonna be a nightmare for this game. And also getting humans to be properly social to build settlements won’t work all the time. Maybe they should implement birth for the humans so instead of spawning in the middle of nowhere you can spawn already in a tribe to help out like another gane

Humans will have to rely on crafting, building, grouping to survive. For spawning, they will start on the beach but then once they build a campsite or become part of a tribe, they can choose to set their spawn point in that location. when they die they will respawn without any gear , in the spawn location that they chose. They can, if they want to, try to find their corpse and loot it to get their stuff back. You only spawn on the beach if you're a brand new human on the map. Dinosaurs will restart as a baby when they die but they will obviously be faster and stronger than humans and they will also be able to group up with other dinosaurs. It's impossible to properly balance pvp in a game where player skill play a big role and how big your group or tribe is also plays a big role. Plus dinos and humans will both have their strengths and weaknesses but they will both be viable and they will both have ways to make survival possible. I have a feeling that it will mostly be about, who sees who first and who gets the first strike, just like it is in real life. :-)

How marvelous, just as I was looking for something entertaining to watch! Perfect timing and an interesting game, it looks amazing! Visually finally a game that competes with pot (which I find really quite beautiful). Loved the detailing in vegetation and also the ai creature seemed well made - it seemed to behave like a proper creature. :D When you said Islander is developing this I got really excited - games made by active players are always so promising! Can't wait to see you play human on this world - I would never be brave enough with dinosaurs around, hihi! This'll probably be just for pc?

Hey ! Glad you enjoyed the demo, the human gameplay will be coming soon, few days at most. I don't know about their plans regarding cross platform though but so far they seem to be pretty ambitious so unless they come and clearly state that it isn't gonna happen, i'd say we can safely keep our hopes up 🙂

That game already has almoust just as good graphics than pot but bouth are demo but this game looks very good and the fact that it loves pot and isle it has verry verry good chance to begome better than bouth of them and this game migh be the dream dino game bcs in my opinion perfect dino game would be preaty much bob pot and isle compined especily isle graphics i love it so this might be the game i hope they will add (at sompoint) maiby deino or som big dino eating crock and maiby like mosaosaurs to the ocian i also hope they add saurophaginax to the game

Your wishes might come true because they will add 35- 40 dinosaurs in this game and they already confirmed there will be crocs and possibly pure aquatics as well. The biggest confirmed dinosaur is Spinosaur but they said they might add something bigger than Spinosaur. And then the game will also support modding so there is a very very very good chance that your wishes will be granted.🙂

This demo only shows a very tiny percentage of what the game will become. The map will grow, they will add more mechanics to the core gameplay, including crafting and building for humans and nesting and parenting for dinosaurs, there will be way more dinosaurs added than the ones listed in this video. As long as those devs don't quit working on this game, they are going to take us for a ride, similarly to how the Path of titans devs have done :-) but yeah, i have to give it to you, if we only look at the current demo, it's hard to ignore the lack of things to do and the lack of audio files and the bugs. I'm excited for the future of the game more than anything :-)
