Sikhs cannot expect justice from those same govt actors who perpetrated disproportionate violence and others who continue to shield the guilty with 40 years of impunity. We must never forget this indelible mark that left intergenerational trauma on the collective Sikh psyche. Let this historical memory embolden us to become strong and successful as a people and live in Chardi Kala wherever we are. God bless.

The 80's were the worst time for not only Punjab but the whole of India. Since then, Punjab has had normalcy and peace for past 3 decades and nothing is going to stop this. The Sikhs themselves have fought the radical elements, religious fanatics and opposed any break up of India though their sheer patriotism and extreme sacrifices. Sikhs are the pride of India and nothing will ever happen like it did in the 80's ever. Those demanding Khalistan have the only option to create one in Canada out of its vast provinces or ask Pakistan to give Lahore and adjoining areas of their Punjab for this cause.
