99% of players are chill. But the ones that make the most noise on social media are actually f2p / low spenders, you can see the whale hate comments and complaints about resources on reddit and discord. Whales don't complain about resources or hate on spenders. It's like that in every gacha.

I am a very casual player, not even 5 hours a week. Made it to 799 paragon solo. That was a big wall to hurdle. I couldn't solo the raid i needed to break into inferno to get great drops. After a week of farming and trying to upgrade gear and gems. I took to the community. Posted once, "Looking for X raid to break into inferno 1." Ten seconds later I received a group invite from a couple of 1200 paragon players. They were nice enough to break me into inferno 5. I was useless as a frog fart in the raids. But they patted me on the back, and told me to reach out if i needed more help. Super awesome

I played the game when it first came out and had a bit of fun as a necromancer but then the game became way too hard for someone that wasn't paying to win. Since coming back I've spent maybe ten bucks and enjoy playing immensely. Free2play players are so lucky to have such a fun game that lets you do mostly anything you want. I don't have friends but I still enjoy playing solo, and the people I've met in clans have been nothing but polite (for the most part) ;)

I prefer clans ranked 6-15. They are usually much more of a "family" than the higher ranked ones. You shouldn't have that problem there, if you do, it was bad luck and shouldn't have that trouble if you pick another.

I’ve always said this about mobile games… “I always called it a bad relationship, you have put so much time and effort into it, it's so hard to break it off. I’m free to play minus the $4.99 for battle pass. Most of the complaints are around the mess that BG is. I have a great clan and warband and enjoy playing with these people. Most are in their late thirties to mid fifties in age and they all think they are old until they found out I’m 68. I started a month after the game came out and left for 6 months to play D-IV which felt like a game in early development not ready for the market. I came back to Immortal on Halloween way behind, a clan leader found me wandering the streets and took me into his clan and warband. I’m currently paragon 1272, Combat rating 34613 and a Resonance of 2993. I’m at challenge rift 540 so f2p or low spenders can easily succeed with time and effort whining just slows you down and holds you back. Have a good one Echo you old hoarder you!

I agree with this point but one thing I notice is that people’s real life are so demanding that people only have time to min/max their time spent in game and very little hanging out/messing around its all business when some of my closest friends inside of the game login and as soon as we take care of business they are offline again. No time for anything else but min maxing the essentials. Sad.

99% of the players are so friendly and helpful, 20 years ago when I played WoW I got harassed all the time and ridiculed for being a ‘noob’ or not being geared. rarely did anyone want to help or carry. but it’s so refreshing that the way they design this game I think it makes it easy to help and get help. I’m enjoying playing without being harassed or criticised, and players will point out and give advice without calling names. the only down side is the sexualised trash talk in some channels. that needs to come down a notch, i’m not against a pun or joke but sometimes the language is way to explicit.

Suggestion for a new mod: I hope we can get a new (bigger) mod like “Defense of Cyrangar” (in Diablo Immortal) in the future. A higher level of cooperation of 16 players (4x4) to defend a hill or a pyramid from being attacked from all four sides. So that the progress of the demons is of different intensity, which would require some players to leave their positions and go to help the weaker ones. Ordinary soldiers (bots) would hold back the onslaught of demons instead of barricades. All over the map, flags would be placed instead of towers. Defenders (bots in cordons with space between them for heroes to pass through) emerge from inside a structure (corridors in a pyramid or tunnels in a hill) to defend the positions (hold the advance) until the flag falls. Where the demons push hard, the heroes have to retreat to a higher position (there would be 4 + 1 levels). When help arrives, the position can be reversed and the flag re-established (bots come out again). Players would have to monitor the situation on the map (and to use portals to move to remote freed/safe platforms). The demons would announce their advance with a trumpet. At the end, all 16 players are on the highest flat platform with the last double flag in the middle (no more bots there). Weak heroes should last at least 30 minutes, while strong ones should last more than an hour… Also, it would be nice if we could get legendary gear for wizard, mount animals (skill instead of teleport or some other). Unicorn (white with a little purple) as the base variant. That animal would be different depending on the environment in which the hero is (zone). Camel for desert, polar bear for snow, deer for forest, tiger in the jungle… Replaces primary attack. This skill, when activated again, can start a mini stampede with a small elephant at the head, for a few seconds (call of the wild zoo). He can randomly ride a small elephant, a huge panther, a zebra, a lion, an ostrich, a huge wolf, a brown bear, and so on. Wow, good ideas, but diablo is a 5 part saga, so far with its own lore and myths, it doesn't need and sanctuary has its own angels and demons, 3 of the 5 stories have been told immortal is diablo 2.5. And that story is being told still, diablo 4 is so being told from my understanding. We don't need a 4x4, we need the war band and raids to be a full 8 instead of 4x2. The sorcerer gets plenty of movement perks, how about helping the monk out, they have been served since the start. The used to be the dps in the game, that's why you would play them. But now there the nothing special dashers, ask the risk of having to get in close to attack, but the damage is just me, while the barb did the same but can't die, the sader cc stops them all, the blood knight is untargetable, the demon hunter can hunt by mini map, the sorcerer has an that plus some and the necromancer never has to get close to the fight and has minions to do his work, and the monk can dash in and die. But yes your right boost the sorcerer good call, who needs balance in the battlegrounds anyway.

some new players make the mistake of world farming when they should be doing content, like side quests, bounties, lairs, dungeons, towers, shadow stuff, etc. a lot of players missing out by not going to vault, assembly or shadow wars.

Echo, I love your positivity, but this is definitely a skewed opinion piece and definitely completely ignorant of the numerous people quitting over the last update. As a low spend, pve focused player, I’m glad you’re getting joy and entertainment from the game. However, the end game community hates the state of the game right now. The necro dominance in PvP has made PvP unenjoyable for everyone, including many necro players just taking turns lancing each other in place. Everyone who loves the monk class is either resigned to being the redheaded stepchild, class changed, avoids PvP, or has changed classes because the class is continually nerfed and operates with inferior abilities to the other classes. Eternal gear being gated unless you spend has infuriated the diehard grinders that have been loyal to the franchise because there has always been opportunities to grind and grow, but it’s now gated. Normal gems are remain at an egregious demand vs supply deficit, and there’s truly no way for someone to catch up on this vital resource without hiring a third party services to provide the gems for you through RMT’s, which violates terms of services. Dupes still exist and ruin the market economy, and virtually every server/server-cluster has a dead market these days. Further exacerbating the issue with players being unable to grow their accounts. Unexplained permbans continue for stupid things like using a controller, meanwhile identified cheaters get a 24 hour slap on the wrist. Literally every updated has had some kind of glitch or exploit that is never found in QA testing. People have miss out on their hard earned blessed reigns, because the game screws up and won’t let players into fights, same thing happened in shadow wars not long ago, and that one guy who was able to cheat as the immortal for TWO WEEKS IN A ROW makes so many people who want fair play just exhausted with the game. Again, I’m happy you’re happy in your bubble of experience, but there are legitimately several issues in the game that have existed for waaaay too long, with no hope of resolution for the concerned community. To your point though, the best part of the game is the community we play with. If it wasn’t for them, I think 90% of us would have quit long ago. However, that’s the community that is great, not the game with its several unresolved issues that drive significant dissatisfaction and continues to drive more and more players (which make up our community) to quit.

I’ve been playing immortal a lot because I have two small kids and don’t get so much PC time anymore. Now that they sleep at bit better I will start with Diablo 4 as well. Honestly play what you like, who cares. Play both !

This is THE game i was waiting for ever since my computer broke after Diablo 2 and i love it. With that said, though, just last night i saw chinese spam advertising illegal transactions on Iceburn Tear. There were two accounts, one kept spamming chinese letter messages in chat nox and the other with ads in english, the name of the accounts were just a mess of letters without any semblances. I was never a fan of chinese accounts on EU or US servers but at least most were speaking in english and not advertising external trades. As for the cosmetics, i have children of Inarius cosmetics on my Blood knight and it rocks. Yes, i bought the means to purchase both the cosmetics i use on my necro and BK gor cash but it was worth it. On The Ancients, though, i have Diablo 2 skin on my crusader and i love that one, too.

The pve in this game is fantastic. The pvp aspect, blizzard absolutely DESTROYED. All pvp in this game are extremely broken, including the reso free pvp events. The bgs are absolutely broken. They keep putting out updates to "improve" but only make them worse. The vault, high reso pair with low reso to get an advantage, players pull gems to get an advantage and trick the system. Pvp is why this game gets a bad reputation. However, blizzard isn't the total blame. Players that play like cowards are a part of the problem was well.

the thingIi like about pvp, is that you get great rewards for participating. when i stopped being concerned with getting kills and just giving it a go, it became exciting to play. i actually love the final vault floor and getting chased down by the immortals. it’s fun to interrupt the whales and run away in battlegrounds and is quite doable. oh, 1.6 million xp for turning up to shadow war is amazing.

I said it before and will say it again: the future of gaming is mobile. Many fan favourite games already either focusing on or expanding their games/brands to mobile. Call of Duty reached unprecedented high in Cod:M. and soon will will be the same with Warzone. Many Asian based games have totally focus on mobile platform as well as we can see that Mobile Legends have surpass even Blizzard's own WoW. So i think D4 is the one to fade much like D3 before it rather than DI. I can see DI will have it's very own expansion soon. Just look at how many more uncharted are the world maps.

I played for a year hit 4k and quit. I can tell you I do not like the game. It's repetitive and boring. With that being said I stayed because of friends. So I agree with echo about a good community. Honestly feel like I wasted year of my life. Lots of other things to do and lots of other games to play. It's nice not having to worry about keeping up. Especially all the work put into the game with very little reward. I'm more for games like Dark Souls, Fallout, Skyrim etc. Not sure why you sound like you got so much hate towards people who disagree with your opinion.

Game needs access to more free Plat, and b a little less capped. I get some capping, but they need to lighten it more to be easier to obtain stuff and not have to carry or be carried by others so much. People can be higher than they are n Blizzard can still make their money if they bent a little. But other than that if u find a good clan n people to play w n avoid the toxic people, there's alot there in that sense. There's alot to do in game too. I also like how they used heavy story modes too. Everything is always how u look at it too. 😊

Alot of cocky whale in my server. Once i tried not to open the game for a while because they just mocked how bad i am and how low my reso is while i just started like a couple o months.. I dont really want to play too much in the community anymore unless a few kind people that i already close. Otherwisei prefer to play solo now

Yeah kincid sneaky tashi and HX needs to be removed from the game or banished to their own server bc they literally moved 30-40 whales to one server with shared accounts to ruin a server a stalk a clan. Then they run around blaming the clan they are stalking and turning people against them for no reason. This dude kincaid is obsessed with a dude and his girlfriend and must be jealous of them or something bc he literally organizes to run them off servers and I have plenty of proof and before anyone says “all servers do this” ask anyone who’s been on high heavens if this kinda stuff happens to this level and they will laugh in your face. Echo won’t talk about this tho and he has been asked many times. Kincaid has had bots spam Reddit post to get them deleted about him. If you see a HX member tell them so go use a scroll to high heavens irl, other than these guys, the rest of the community besides a few are great.

Game got a high p2w system but apart from that luck and hell alot of grinding for gear then isn't to far away from achieving. But also if u like a free to play go it's just has good except just need that same as p2w i found luck and a hell alot of it and grinding. Gems can be found a'd at rank 5 a 2*/5*+ need abit diffrent upgrade and works good.

Yeah they should have told you what you were doing. Since the terms of service are so long and confusing, it's so boring all 3 pages is tldr so you must have missed the reason there. Di terms are the shortest I've ever seen in any game ever. You know what you did. Banned for no reason... really your gonna act innocent. Even if you were banned for afk farming, You know the know how many clicks you make using a spoon? It sends out thousands of clicks a second, your fingers could never do that, even if you claim it was a server losing packets and then getting them all at once. The can tell your 100 clicks by finger from your 20000 clicks by spoon. You should have stopped doing what ever you were doing, using Susan, afk farming.. when the bans started " play stupid games, win stupid prizes"

Blizzard has admitted they make mistakes, they've unbanned permabans, given compensation (not enough compensation but some is more than none) for misleading in game info. And even fixed bugs, nerfed op skills. Boosted others. Blizzard gets a ton of info about what your running on your device, how many clicks per second, what kind of controller.. and they are clear what controller to use, they know 500 clicks per second isn't possible manually, and they know when your running macro in the background. Their first reaction is to ban you, they learned this from the past history. Better to stop a possible cheater initially. And let them contest the ban to show the player at least thinks they are innocent. A cheater left to do as they wish until Blizzard can figure it if they are cheating could take time going over the logs. And that would victimize many other players. So they ban to give themselves time to investigate. It sucks cheaters had to create this knee jerk reaction Blizzard takes to a player possibly cheating. But you can't blame Blizzard for doing what it can you protect it's honest players.

I have never use any cheats or illegal software. Ever. And they never told me the reason. So i gave up trying to prove my innocence. Tomorrow I'll try my ban account and see if they have unbanned me. But i doubt it.

@chill9096 Or maybe they venting concerning the aspects of the game they feel need addressed. I have posted many complaints about this game and at times have said it sucks . And some aspects of it does IMO . Like going Into PvP content and your CCed from full health to death even procing cheat death and such . And IMO the gem situation in gamecat present sucks . Not being able to sell any 3/5 or 4/5 gem you might get if lucky with (cough) RNG even when listed at the lowest possible price. There are many aspects of this game that IMO suck . I have ranted about it many many times. But zi have been playing since launch and will continue until it dies or something better come out ..

Said the guy who hasn't bothered to learn the mechanics spending doesn't get you a win, it's gets you more damage, that's it, you can't buy combat rating, that's what matters and armor, resistance, armor generation, you can't buy that and that's what matters, that's what bgs uses to balance there is no point in the game where your resonance is compared to another player and determine if you win a pvp fight. It only boost the 1 main state on your primary gear, it's not the magical start that makes you win anything. That's combat rating
