"Cessation of thinking is invited into your life not by suppressing thinking, but letting go of resistance to the present moment." "To make present moment your friend; to say Yes internally to whatever arises in this moment." Thank you.

I am here because I have non-stop, racing thoughts. I have always had problems with severe anxiety that is exacerbated by racing thoughts. I'm going through a very difficult hurdle in my relationship, and fear that she may walk out on me. My own anxiety has been the culprit to some very negative thinking. I just started listening to Eckhart Tolle, to at least have the awareness that I am having negative thinking. I am just trying to be in the moment and present. Wish me luck.. Good luck to everyone here!!

@Kyan I cannot believe that it was a year ago that I wrote that. Update: I was able to hold on to her!! It's been great. We worked through a lot of stuff that was due to poor communication. I truly could not have made it through that very rough patch with ET guidance!! Thank you for asking. I hope that you are well, too.

You 'have' racing thoughts? .... You are actually in state of worry and your subconscious is just doing habitual thinking because you used to do it consciously once remember?and now you are using metaphors to worsen your situation, here what you can do.... Just relax take a deep breath, now see things around you see how it looks , colour texture etc , then hear sound near you and then pay attention to the feeling of breath in breath out .... You can see what works better for you , for me focussing in breath 🫁 stops my overthinking immediately

Its all an illusion and As long as we live in our minds/egos it's freaking unbearable! Trapped in the illusion of consent thoughts ... But I've found some truths i can try to share. I try to separate myself from thoughts by simply saying, "That's a thoughts .. Look at all those thoughts etc" Not believing every thought. To try to simply be the observer of each thought. I try to meditate 5 min each morning and just focus on my breathing and quickly thoughts will start, so I'll gently bring it back to my breathing. The MOMENT I realize I'm back to thoughts I'm the observer! There's the real "me", the observer, my soul and separate me, the crazy, upset, unhappy ego! But unfortunately The suffering is necessary to motivate us to go through this process. Even though this 5 min is a quick easy way to get out of the unhappy ego/mind and to find some freaking peace in this crazy world, it's still the hardest thing I've ever done! You've got to want it bad and realize the ego is a frighten child that doesn't want to let go ... To let go and let this shift in consciousness happen ... But its exciting that so many are watching this video to ask and learn of a deeper meaning and it's even more exciting because it's happening all over the world! (Eckhart Tolle is A true living spiritual master!)

I wish one day to meet you and give you a big hug! I 've been disabled for two years now and sometimes I feel completely abandoned to myself. Today, for example, one of the dogs vomited in my room and nobody was willing to clean it. I went completely ballistic after a series of lies and excuses I was told (as usual) and destroyed a few things. Everything is energy and Consciousness but I really can't understand this situation. I really want to die to put an end to a series of abuses I have been subjected to. I feel like Jesus on the cross when he felt that God had abandoned him though I don't feel abandoned by God but tease in a way that is destroying me. I wish there was a way out of this nightmare! Just in case you are wondering, I have always helped and bought food for those in need, everywhere so you don't reap what you have sewn. However, I was carrying a lot of anger and pain with me and I was judging others: this is the reason for my disease. Now, I am finally learning to clean my mind and stay peaceful but apparently my feelings are still severely hurt. 😢😔😊💖😁🤗🙏 🤗😔💖😉😁

I have found that compulsive thinking is one of my main issues, one that has been difficult to free myself of. I am able to identify when I am doing it, feel it's affect on my physical body, and to get out of the rabbit hole I need to "think" very slowly. It is almost as if I take mental baby steps to pull myself out. I am curious if others experience this. Feel free to comment, thanks :]
@Wolf-Spirit_Alpha-Sigma
@Wolf-Spirit_Alpha-Sigma 2 жыл бұрын
I did experience this a lot, to the point of wasting 2 hours a day for "thinking out loud" - basically, talking to myself. What helped me a lot was realizing that it happens usually when I'm bored or idle. The reverse of that state is, what Eckhart calls 'being in the present'. But, he doesn't say much about how to achieve that state. My strategy was to never find myself bored with something by trying to make it interesting or avoiding it altogether. Secondly, to be as active/proactive and engaged as I can, even when I'm relaxing or resting (then I'm engaged in maximizing my comfort and peace of mind). Physical activities help a lot with getting rid of theses involuntary thoughts (for me that was swimming, riding a bicycle or simply taking a walk). What also helps, is to do things that require a lot of focus, like, playing chess, strategy videogames or playing an instrument. I think what needs to happen is regaining command over the mind - in other words, just because you find yourself thinking doesn't necessarily mean that you do it. So, actively use your mind and don't let it wander whenever it wants, unless you decided that you want to explore some subject and you need less 'thought control'. But in the end, there a lot of things that you can do that don't require thinking at all, or minimal, only attention. These things are automated in your brain and you can do them well as long as you stay awake and focused. To have more things like that, you need to master more skills - whatever they may be. My problem with that was, that I tried to always solve problems and do things using only my intelligence instead of just learning something to make it a second nature. To learn something, you need to start over as if you were a child and you had very little intellect to use it as a crutch. Don't try to figure everything in life, don't question everything - simply get busy and engaged. At least that's what helped in the long run. I hope some of it can get you on the right track, if not, start believing more in your intuition. Good luck.

I feel the same way, this confused me. At 2:30 Eckhart says that a time will come when we won't have factories anymore and instead we will create the few things we need in the material world with our minds and "Poof, there it is". He says it won't be anything like a Rolls Royce, but we won't need things like that... Can someone please explain to me what on Earth does he mean by that?!? Is he saying that in the future if it's cold outside and we need some kind of coat or something, that we will be able to use our mind to just make a coat "magically" poof into existence in front of us? Will we telepathically communicate with plants and they will magically weave and grow some kind of magical forest coat made out of leaves and vines for us to put on? What does he mean??

@@TerriblePerfection Well, we both have MS. Yeah, out of 2 children-both girls, she was rx'd at 18yrs old, she's 26 now. I do know she could put on some weight, but she IS cooking (unlike me, smh)-she was coming home from food shopping when I last spoke to her.

Unconscious thought or thinking is subjective! It is generally dependent on outside stimuli! Conscious thought or thinking can be objective! It is dependent on the diurnal urges of the thinker!

I haven't seen Eckhart Tolle in a while, but I like how he goes deeper into the fundamentals of manifestation in this video. The mental faculties are important, but they are intensified by our ability to find fulfillment within the present moment. That is the key to manifestation that I keep in mind on my day to day. Thank you Eckhart 🙏🏽 Hope to offer the same amount of value as you do in my channel also

The essence of spirituality is not just the clearing of your thoughts but also the clearing of people around you and your environment witch is also what will determine the way you think feel and act in your daily life. you need to become aware of what information you are consuming, than once you clear that, start to focus on the essential things that you value the most, from there the pieces will start to put themselves automatically order will start to occur but it will take the skill of letting go and trusting time. You need to understand that the only reason for time is so that everything does not happen all at once, everything happens one moment in time. Once the skill of letting go gets repeated it will become easier to start manifesting everything that you want in real time.

I really do try not to judge. I know, I know. However, there's "thumbs down" to this presentation. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do" Struggling with the duality created there. But where is "there"? Who created what? Who really cares? Love me, ❤

The reason you like something is often that you mistake "like" for a thought pattern you thought many times.

That was a really fun segment!!! I'm hoping for a future like that, too... there's so much fun to be had with our imaginations!!! I'm having a lot of fun living in the "possibilities" realm of co-creation now that I'm at peace with myself.

Nothing you create is going to satisfy you for long.. unless you realize who you are. Don't force presence.. don't suppress thinking.. letting go of resistance for the present moment Watch it as if it's a movie To make the present moment your friend.. to say yes eternally to whatever rises in this moment
