Yes it's called "vocal fry" and it's a vocal affectation of women, mainly. As well as uptalking?? I wanted to enjoy this video as an eclectic maximalist but could only make it one minute and a half in because of the voice. Pleasing voices (and lighting designs) are requirements for me.

Sorry to say, too.. but if this vocal fry is „ put on» than I would recommend to quit asap. It sound not husky, not sexy,, It seems she has an inflammation of the vocal cords.. And is about to cry.. also very exhausted. Reason I stop watching..
