I remember watching this live. Such a great show. We recorded this one on vhs. I would play it frequently. I sing it still. Glad I can now just pull it up here when it gets in my brain.

I saw them in London many years ago and they were brilliant. Very quirky and creative. David Thomas has a unique vibrato to his voice.

Yup, I used to watch regularly. They had Pixies on with Sun Ra. Conway Twitty with the Kronos Quartet. The show was taped on that same NBC stage as Saturday Night Live. I used to watch and think to myself, "This is too good for TV." I was correct. The show only lasted for two years.
