This is the best Eclipse tutorial I've found so far. Everyone else just talks about Java, as if the people coming through are asking about how to code, completely missing the fact that the learning curve for the Eclipse IDE is weird and not intuitive. Thank you.

Transitioning from 25 years of C++ on Visual Studio to java + Eclipse is painful. And weird would be an understatement. I actually hate it. I'm actually questioning my career direction right now, it is so bad.

Thank you so much! When teachers themselves don't go into details about these applications that they ask us to install, it is the most frustrating thing ever especially when we are sitting home trying to code and then lose windows and start to panic. Whew! You saved me from a breaking point!

i really like how you explained and demonstrate different features. it's very organized and you have the right speed. sometimes people go too fast or way too slow on unimportant points. the points that you made were very useful.. i was looking thru your videos and hoping to find programming tutorials but i guess you don't do those.

ty for the video - very helpfull. I have some issue with eclipse and would like your help please. I installed JDK 1.8 for win32(7 Ultimate) and Eclipse for Java developers. When I try to run it it prints: Error: Could not find or load main class HelloWorld. I noticed that eclipse saved the project in virtualstore and not the directory I mentioned. When I move manualy the project, all works just fine. How do I solve this issue?
@matias18908 жыл бұрын
Im having this issue as well please tell me if you've found a solution
@vladbio8 жыл бұрын
Do place the Eclipse' folder on your Desktop. In Win 7 Ultimate you may have a problem accessing other folders by some programs due to some Manager Access issues. It's fucked up but that's life. Hope it helps though

I seem to be having a problem creating a new project. I have followed all your steps, which were very easy to understand but on your screen it has more folders. My new project does not create a source code, bin or settings folder, I am having a tough time even getting started, anyone with help would b appreciated
@NormKrumpe10 жыл бұрын
When you select "New Java Project", the pop-up window includes a choice to either "Use project folder as root for sources and class files" or "Create separate folders for sources and class files". I believe the default is set to create separate folders, but you can select either option for each project. I always create separate folders. Hope this helps!
