It honest to god wasn't nearly as difficult as people made it out to be. Definitely a worthy challenge for the final boss though, I'll give them that!

The only "unbalanced" thing about king calvus is the fact that he can movestack and parry atacks wille charging atacks but that also counts for ALL the bosses in arcane odyssey the only thing that really makes him hard is the fact that he can teleport out of your vision and charge his insta kill move wicht is what kills most New players but if you can track him dow and Dodge most of his moveset you can solo him of course he is not easily farmable like al the other bosses but you CAN solo him

its not insane to defeat calvus, hes easy as hell all you need to find out is that you can literally parry every single hella telegraphed move and can dodge the one shot by attacking and dashing as soon as it deals dmg I've farmed this boss on 6 different slots over 100 times each, it really is not that hard, people make it out like it's the next malenia or some shit

Most people loose their shit over king calvus as they don't know his attack methods and cycles he follows, like him dashing around a few times before he uses an attack. I've played the game a lot and through all of them I find Elius a much more difficult boss to deal with at the time of meeting him than calvus, despite the challenge calvus proposes

elius is more difficult at the time you meet him because he’s the first real difficult boss, his difficulty is completely unexpected when you first get to him. with calvus, you’re already used to the bosses having some bullshit mechanics, so you kinda know what to expect when you first get to him

Good job! This boss can be tough if you can't expect his attacks, though one thing worth noting is that you should just dodge his big one shot explosion after you hit him. Also, making your multi hit 2 or 3 hits Max's helps get extra damage without being stuck for years and potentially missing tons as well.

When you're far enough away from the aether pillar attack, the damage doesn't register, but during second phase that move charges quicker and it also has a shockwave in the end that blasts you away from the epicenter of the attack, which this shockwave still does register in the form of pushing you away. As for his normal projectiles, only way to kill him past that is to just parry it by the way fun fact: you can kill him easily by throwing an old dagger at him lmao

you forgot about prince revon his first phase starts off pretty okay he slashes at you at hypersonic speeds and deals moderate damage and does beams of light that blind you but the nonsense happens at phase 2 where he is able to summon copies of him that also do the same damage and inflict blindness which is practically impossible to beat then he has an attack where he instantly teleports behind you and kick you to the ground opening you up for any of his moves this also stuns for 3 seconds (Why?) its pretty weird eclipse didn't consider him the hardest boss also on top of that stun move he also can nullify your attacks and then do the damage you did to him with an aoe??? and there's no indicator for when he can nullify the attacks this boss is just pain in every way possible and i hate him please give him some justice he deserves to be the hardest boss in arcane odyssey

If anyone in here is struggling with calvus (or any boss to be honest) just use ranged weapons, guns work the best (I would recommend dual flintlocks) but any range attack like dagger throw, guns, bows etc will work. Just keep your distance and attack when he charges up the nuke

When he was “move stacking”, that wasn’t exactly what was happening. In both base and awakened he has a skill that puts orbs(swords in awakened) behind him, and they can be activated instantly at any time after he creates them. It’s part of his fight’s mechanics.

the bosses in arcane odyssey are funny cause like Main story bosses: pushover slightly less pushover dps race pushover dps check GOD LEVEL THREAT revon and then you have minibosses: *5 exploding barrels* *5 exploding barrels but threatening* WIND *seamonster noise* and then random npcs out of nowhere hit you once for half your health i fought one of my friend's rivals cause i found them by complete accident, and i nearly got 2-tapped by his berserker rival
