I used your install video to install an Eco Battery 48v 105Ah Skinny lithium bundle in my 2014 RXV. I used other you tube videos also, but I found yours to be my most useful. I made a mistake thinking I had a metal battery tray (it was plastic - my bad) and got the skinny - but it included a new metal tray that fit with little trouble. Really appreciate your detailed, step by step approach. Couldn't have done it without your video. Thank you so much.

Hey Wayne, man I really appreciate that.

I currently made the same mistake and bought a skinny battery for a plastic tray and not metal. How were you able to replace the plastic to the new metal tray? I can't find any videos on this or any information and don't know where to begin
@WayneAlexander-p9jАй бұрын
@@xKodak34 I called Eco Battery and told them I had the plastic tray (wasn't with the cart when I ordered it) not the metal one I put on the order. They sent me a metal tray to replace the plastic one. It was fairly simple to replace. Took me about 2 hours (I'm slow) to take out the plastic and put in the new metal tray. Just a note. I'm REALLY glad I made that mistake and got the skinny battery. It fit perfectly AND the button to turn it on/off is under the drivers seat and really easy to get to. Attaching the battery to the new metal tray was also fairly easy. Good luck - you're going to LOVE the new battery.

@@WayneAlexander-p9j Did it require you to remove the plastic bottom or was it a piece you can just lay inside and screw in to secure? Plug and play pretty much
@WayneAlexander-p9jАй бұрын
@@xKodak34 I had to remove the plastic tray to get the new metal tray in. The plastic tray was simply held in with bolts/screws, so no major cutting required. A little tilting and maneuvering (and help from my wife) to get it lined up.

Can you explain the connection to the key switch again and maybe show in detail how you made that connection?

Good morning, what CAN connection from the battery/voltage meter cable goes to the charger CAN connections. There are two coming from the voltage meter cable(from battery)? In your video at minute mark 3:49. Thanks in advance!

The signal wire on the charger output plugs into either of the small dangling ports of the LCD wiring harness. It’s a new feature.

GREAT INSTALL VIDEO , WHAT IF YOUR CART already had a voltage reducer do you run both or switch to the new 30a . and new fuse block ? i like the fitment of the battery in the txt looks great
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
I would run two or the new one.

What can you do with the extra open space? We go to the beach a lot and sand will be all up inside the belly of the cart.

There is a dealer called Arc’em. They make inserts to fit in that space. Very helpful. Search the business, then on their site look for the link to their custom products.

So that orange wire gets 3 way connected to the white and yellow on the ignition?
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
Correct, the cold side of the key switch. Different switches can have different wire colors, I would recommend testing voltage at the battery - and your positive lead to the key switch post. One shouldn't have voltage until the key switch is turned into the on position.

@@PalmettoBatteryPros got mine working just like you said. I have another question, do you know if any 2 inch wheel spacers fit the txt? I tried a set of orion's but the stock ezgo studs are too short to thread the acorn lugs all the way.
@vindn7556 Жыл бұрын
I’m still confused, does the orange wire get connected to the positive side of the battery or the cold side of the key switch.

Also I'm trying to get a few more MPH if I get a lithium battery thinking of going with this battery or the Allied. Does having the speed controller on my car already immensely help or do I need a new motor whisper or some other gadget New controller? Any Is input helps.
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
You’ll get a couple MpH with lithium, but speed is mostly a controller issue

If I am installing this on a TXT with a Navitas A/C conversion (so no stock controller), do I still need to energize the reed switch bypass by attaching that orange wire to the positive post on the battery?
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
No, I don’t believe that switch is required on the Navitas controller.

Hey I have some questions. Is it better to have multiple batteries say 312 V batteries or just one 36 V battery lithium? Also my car already has some speed control or modification on it supposedly gets up to 24 miles an hour but I've only done 22. That being said with getting a lithium am I in danger of burning out my motor? I'm assuming it's a stock motor.
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
No danger with motor. The controller is set to give power the motor can handle.

installed skinny 52V in 96 txt dcs, despite not having reed switch anymore, the power supply turns off to accessories when placing in reverse and then again when placing in forward. I am assuming the reverse switch ( 2 microswitches with cam lever)shuts off power intermittingly. Is there a workaround to this. Running Alltrax XCT controller as well.
@PalmettoBatteryPros Жыл бұрын
You could bypass and run the long orange to the positive post of the battery.

Hey, I just received the Eco Battery 105ah 48v kit for my tempo. Similar to yours, it also incorrectly states on the top that the continuous discharge rate is 150A and not 175A, along with a 500A max 3 second discharge instead of 600A max 3 second. Was this a misprint or something? I don’t want to install it if I haven’t gotten the battery I ordered, so looking to hear what you say. Thanks!
