Wow I was just looking at mine last night, now I see your comment. Horn broke apart from the bottle but I fixed it with some super glue and baking soda. It's an alternative and easier method compared to plastic welding, look it up if you still have your horn. Since the trigger swivels, you've got to be careful with how you place the glue.

How do you know when the Eco Blast needs more air, other than you press the trigger and it doesn't make noise? I want to use it to scare off bears in the wilderness and don't want to be caught with an empty horn that doesn't work.

This video is pretty old, so hi. If you're using it for one-off encounters such as this, a good handful of pumps will be more than enough to last you for your needs, so this shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't store it pressurized with air for long periods of time(storage), so pump some air in right before you set out. You can also test to see how much air pumps will give in terms of seconds of sound, so experimenting is your best bet to be more familiar with the device. I'm not sure if there are better ones out there now, so I would do some research into that if I were you. Take care and have a blessed life! Edit: Gosh this video is so cringe for me

I'm needing a air horn for my sailboat, just one of those many items from the safety checklist. Saw this item on Amazon but wanted to see it in use first. From the picture on Amazon, it looked like a metal bottle. So if it's plastic, what size bottle could be replaced if the other gets damaged? I was hoping metal because I was going to buy a couple of them. One for the boat and one to make a quick breath on a full face scuba mask.

I think I know what metal canister version you're talking about. The metal version and plastic bottle version are two separate products, meaning their parts are not interchangeable. So if the plastic does somehow get's damaged and is deemed unusable I imagine you'd have to just buy a whole new set. I'm not sure what you mean by making one into a quick breath(if you think you can diy then go for it), I know somewhere online you can find handheld oxygen quick breather like devices. I have a friend who has one and it's pretty cool! but expensive. Best of luck

Yeah I've seen a couple videos with people pumping and trying the horn. But nobody taking one apart or modifying one. Nor trying the horn underwater. The metal canister ones run for double the price of the plastic ones. I was also looking at the BioLogic version that is for bikes. What I meant by a quick breath. Was I'm always worried I might go to far under water or something may happen. I'd have at least a couple extra pockets of air to ease my mind through whatever situation. And of coarse exhaling during my ascend to the surface.

Pump it yourself. I wouldn't recommend keeping anything under pressure storage wise to increase its longevity. Pumping it with air takes less than a minute.

I brought mine online and I didn't get a pump. I got mine for gangstalkers, look it up shites crazy. So that thing is pretty loud exactly what I needed.
