I live in Vellore and this area to south of Vellore city is much better off compared to the actual city. The river that runs through Vellore, palar (river of milk) is dry almost every year. What these women have done is amazing considering the water scarcity problem that plagues most of Vellore district.

People all along the rivers banks of this country should be mobilised and involved. Fundings through MNREGA etc should essentially for such developmental projects.
