I understand Telugu (though this dialect is slightly unfamiliar), so I made a stab at translation: Sanamma spoke about how much they’ve taught her. She feels like a part of a big family. She wants to work on their farm until the day she dies and pass on whatever knowledge she gained to the next generation. Her only goal in working here is to spread awareness to other farms and communities.

Sir Albert Howard the father of organic movement had done his research in India, at Indore and published his findings in the acclaimed book, "An agricultural Testament" unfortunately, he is not known in the agricultural farternity in India. His Indore Method of composting was world famous then. This situation can be compared with that of Shri Nani Palkhivala, the acclaimed legal legend who is unknown today. Sorry to say we are losing our capacity to think logically. People have now come down to the level of seeking knowledge and wisdom from WhatsApp university.

Lovely seeing another female doing permaculture/farming etc. My friend and I and our fathers and brothers are also interested in PermaC for some decades now. Whilst we have/use only allotments, we would do well to venture into larger landmass to produce various tropical fruit and vegetables and introduce new recipes into the food and foodchain/supply market. Very interesting being able to use the brain and hands to produce something that feeds the world. Thank you for sharing. Peace

Congratulations on a very nice video. I do wish however, that fewer people would promote permaculture as some sort of agricultural system. Although it certainly includes the way that we grow our food, it is just a part of a much deeper philosophy. A philosophy that advocates a sustainable way of life. A permanent culture. The true permaculture system advocates that a given space of land can permanently sustain us and our offspring, with an equal relationship between the land and its inhabitants. We give and take from the land in equal measure, in a symbiotic relationship that embraces natural diversity. Our natural and created waste are part of this system, as indeed our bodies are when we die. The land has sustained our bodies, so now our bodies sustain the land. Is there an example I can give, a demonstartion that such a relationship is possible ? YES YES YES, the billions of years of life that has existed on this planet, right up until one species decided it could profit from nature, or take more than it gave. It is this philosophy of embracing all of the natural diversity, not just the parts than we can use, that definitively expresses permaculture. It is the philosophy that we humans destroy the natural diversity that we as a species do not require, that is the antithesis of permaculture.

Excellent, these techniques should be picked up by the rest of India. This should be sharpened fine-tuned further, using Israeli irrigation systems, alongwith polyponds, rainwater holding harvesting techniques, like the trenches, solar power, profits from agriculture should be ploughed back to boost the working capital with new good technology, with technology profits many times the investment is possible.
