You do a great job on commentary describing all the properties' features and possibilities. I can see this place restored with some upgrades and antique furniture to make it a historic place to live.

Thanks for this grand tour, Nick. What a massive manor and property, requiring full time staff on site to maintain its splendor. That would mean a number of employees inside the buildings and tending grounds continually. This might nix one’s desire for privacy and calm. Would you agree? So I’d think it might sell as a commercial retreat or something akin to that. But it’s awe inspiring at so many levels. And thanks for giving us info as to the time frame in which it was originally built. Hard to imagine an extant structure dating to 1,000 AD, and still tended with loving, tasteful care. Thank you for taking us back in splendid time!

No you aren't! We've sold properties to a number of Canadians. In fact a lovely couple bought a property only steps away from our office here in the Niccone valley. Sadly they haven't been able to travel for the last year (for obvious reasons) which is shame; we miss the home-baked cookies/biscuits.

Crazy price for a totally rundown Umbrian estate. just the wood rot alone would cost a fortune to restore. The “stable” is a country paddock, the home needs at least a half million or more to restore and there’s just so much wood rot. The grounds also would take several years to bring back to stable occupancy. To me - it looks like someone bought it at a good price and put their money into the YOGA studio which appeared to have a hot Western exposure. They obviously lost their vision due to the overwhelming amount of money necessary to restore it all. The old home and grounds would have been a good spot for a Sergio Leone film in the 60s. I think it’s at least a million over priced - maybe more. It would be difficult to turn into a venue that would pay back a fraction of the outlay. You need a drone to do aerial shots. People expect it today. You probably also need a structural inspection. You need a CTJ with your seller.

You had me at the stables and horses. The cost of the upkeep of the grounds and home must be phenomenal. Three words to describe this property: Oh my God! What I liked about this tour was that the home looked lived in by regular people. They might be wealthy but down to earth. Am I correct? Great tour! Was it sold?

I found this property very intriguing. I'd love to imagine it inhabited and run as a creative collective, partnership or company focused on art, sustainable living, cooking, animals, eco agro; all or any of the above. Seems very much built for something similar although Yoga retreats are a dime a dosen these days and Umbria is probably not prime location for exactly that. I noticed many complaints about wood rot and poor structural integrity. I'm not in contruction so I couldn't see it. I understand the choice of finish is NOT for everyone but I like the very earthy boho feel of it. Although at that price I'd imagine some affluent American bought it an had it transforemed to look "luxe". Really curious who purchased this! Very much lifestyle living to maintain unless you're made of money and just have it redone, relandscaped and maintained for you. Which imo woukd be a bit sad. Nice to see something so alternative to the many petite bourgeois or upscale oversized seasonal estates. This type of alternative property is usually less instafriendly and needs experiencing to be understood. Good job for such a massive run through.

This place is falling apart. The land needs $100K just to begin: fences, clean up, out building repair, etc. And then the house: the beams are rotting out; the plaster is cracked, the arches are failing and need work, the outdoor ivy is pulling the cement out of the brick, flooring is crap warped and uneven. We pass. To much to restore.
