the 7 Wonders of the World is a dream of many, but very few can fulfill that dream. If I told you that there is no need to travel around the world to see the 7 Wonders, you wouldn't believe it? But yes what I said is true! Kolkata's Eco Park has its own miniature creation of the 7 wonders of the world. Before showing you this wonderful place, let's know something about the place. Even if you enter the park by paying a ticket, you have to pay 30 taka separately to enter here. You should always try to visit the unique places of the park throughout the day and come here just before dusk, because the lighting here at dusk makes the structures come alive.
The first place you will see after entering through the gate is this
Great Pyramid of Giza:
Did you know that the Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and only pyramid among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? Interesting, isn't it? There are three pyramids in total, each built for a different pharaoh. The largest of the three belongs to Khufu of the 4th Dynasty and is known to the world as the Great Pyramid.
This 481-foot-tall pyramid was considered the tallest structure in the world until the advent of modern skyscrapers. A huge amount of labor, time and resources were used to build the pyramids. It took 20,000 workers about 20 years to complete the structure in 2560 BC.
After seeing the Great Pyramid of Giza, you can see it if you go a little further
Petra:
Now who doesn't want to see an ancient city and find out some amazing secrets? Petra served as the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom in 300 BC. Nabatean is an ancient city located in Jordan.
The city is globally known as the 'Rose City' due to the pink sandstone work in the tombs and temples. Once a thriving trading center, the city eventually fell into ruins due to neglect and displacement.
Moai Statues:
Between 1250 and 1500 AD, these beautifully carved human figurines by the Rapa Nui people are located on Easter Island in eastern Polynesia. Each of them has a large head.
They were sometimes considered symbols of their ancestors. while they also symbolized to others their powerful former chiefs. Although most of them have been destroyed over time, the rest fortunately still stand on the slopes of the Rano Raraku volcano. Their construction mysteriously stopped in the 18th century and no one has yet found out why.
Christ the Redeemer on either side of the moai statue:
This beautiful artwork in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil perfectly depicts the values of Jesus Christ. Like Jesus, this statue aims to save modern society. People see it as a roof over their heads. The statue is seen as a great symbol of Christianity worldwide.
The statue is said to have been built on top of Mount Corcovado by special request, so that it would be visible to every person in Rio and bless them whenever they needed it.
5. Colosseum:
Colosseum Located in the center of the city of Rome, Italy, the Colosseum is the largest ancient amphitheater ever built. Even more amazing is that it is the largest standing amphitheater in the whole wide world, despite being built between 70-80 AD.
The main monument collapsed in the great earthquake of 1349 and as a result, its southern side collapsed. Even its broken stone was reused to build palaces, hospitals, churches and many other buildings in Rome. So, in a way, they all carry the essence of this legendary monument.
6. The Great Wall of China:
The Great Wall of China is a true wonder of the world. The wall was originally built to protect the state's borders, but over the years, it has served as a defense of China's northern border as well as a great source for tourism. The wall is considered to be the longest man-made structure in the world.
At the center of it all is the magnificent Taj Mahal:
Do you already know about this wonderful place? The Taj Mahal is a beautiful white marble stone monument located on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. The love story behind this monument is quite famous.
The Taj Mahal was built in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Only here is the tomb of the adorable couple. Apart from the mausoleums, you can see the architectural beauty of mosques, guest houses and even outer courtyards and later cloisters.
There is a beautiful fountain right in front of the Taj Mahal, everyone is busy taking pictures in front of the fountain.
