random foraged plant materials
twine
2 aluminum plates to help keep the sandwich together
alum (found at local food co-op)
annato seeds
few tablespoons white vinegar
rusty bits from the garage

Nik, I'm doing a workshop this week on ecco printing and, even though most of us are using the same recipe for the pre-soak the bath and even the same plant materials, out results are different. It's so much fun to see what comes out of each pot. Our instructor is teaching us different styles of books we can make out of the papers. We're having a great week!

Your video is excellent, thanks! Your flowers are super impressive! FYI You can get different results from the type of metal pot used. For example, an aluminum pot can make your tones very yellow and green so be careful adding alum if you are using aluminum. A glass slow cooker or stainless steel pot will give different results. It's fun to experiment. Can't wait to see what you've done with your pages.

Those are pretty and the reveal is exciting. When I do paper marbling I brush an alum water mixture on my papers then let them dry, then use them. Maybe try that next time

That is beautiful paper that you made! It looks like watercolor paintings with added ink. I’m so impressed and I love the yellow shade that you achieved. Wow, I’ll have to ask someone to gather leaves and flowers for me since I can’t get to an outside area. Believe me, if I could get out into a nature area in my wheelchair, I’d be in heaven!! My caretaker lives way out in the country where there are lots of trees and wildflowers so I’ll ask her to gather materials before her pregnant tummy gets too big. LOL I’ve got to do this. I cannot live without this kind of paper for my altered books. 💛💙💜
