I didnt have that issue with mine, other then that i had no issues with mine, i even greased my joints. it been up for many months, no rust, still standing strong even in stupid high winds we been getting for no reason. and its holding 3 320W 57Lbs panels. (no more would fit..) we will be installing a 2nd tracker in a fue days. Make sure its pointed the correct way. I will suggest you have a small 12V baby panel like 50W attached to keep a 12V battery charged to run the array with.

Great job on the video mark and Shannon

That setup has to make a huge difference in efficiency.

Up to 40% has been mentioned.

I have heard the same, 40%, , but I'm just starting to use it so I have no comparisons yet

I find that they start making power earlier and go later in the day. Mine are Bifacial and that also makes a difference.
@woodzyfox47352 ай бұрын
My system, starts sooner, ends later, and i have seen almost 47% in daily power

I did some testing with having the long actuator on the east side (then have to switch the 2 wires for the actuator so east/west goes the correct direction when commanding on the controller) this gives you more tilting angle to the west 53° then to the east 35° (i have woods to the east so it works better for me to get more angle in west sky). With it on the west side, it is almost even angle, west 45°\ east 50°. I have also replaced the short actuator with another the same length as the long actuator, moved the bracket back 1 hole on the north/south mount, drilled new hole and installed rivet thread sert, retracted actuator, tilted all the way south and drilled 2 new holes with rivet thread sert. Now it can tilt all the way south and a good angle to the north. I have also seen people putting the north/ south cross strut on the top of the east/west strut instead of under it.

Mark What brand of solar panel did you use and what was the size and physical dimension of the panels. Great Video especially liked the was you handled the ground mounting.

Eco-baeerss 300watt Monocrystalline, got from ebay ,look them up for sizes, I can't remember, sorry, thanks for watching!

I’ve had one set up for about 5 mos now, and I was wondering if you ran into the same problem I did with the mounting bolts. I found that the bolts for attaching the panels were 2-3mm too long. If you’re right over a hole in the strut it’s not a problem but if not then it’s a pain. Also, you said your panels are 300W. How big are they? My manual said that the struts are 114” and that’s just big enough for the 6 195W panels I got from Eco Worthy. You can go to a big box store and get full 120” struts if you want, or you can splice 24” struts on the ends.

My panels are 300watts and my mounting surface is 114, but it worked out just perfectly, and I did rin into that problem with the bolts, I shaped a few longer bolt for the shorter ones holding the strut mounts on and that worked for me, thanks for watching!

Do you mind tell me what manufacture your panels are? I’ve been looking for 300 W panels that will fit well. usually, they’re too fat And can’t fit four in a row.

Un vero disastro! Viti troppo lunghe e di pessima qualità. Sostituite tutte. Ora devo cercare di capire perché verso nord non scende. Praticamente in posizione piatta corrisponde a nord. Attuatore troppo corto. O vanno invertiti?

I'm sorry, but I only understand English, but thanks for watching
@danielmcneely157926 күн бұрын
@@matteocrotti6781 I dont speak italian either, but google translate did a good job. You can add washers to the top of the screw to make up difference. Also, make sure your tracker has the correct side facing north. I've seen people complain that the polarity of the N/S actuator is reversed for their hemisphere. Just open the control panel and switch them.

Natural horizontal position is good against wind, but not against hail, I think.

@@Markslife101 what controller are u using. Amd in series the volts lil close to my Max 145vdc. Would series parallel work better.
@Markslife1012 ай бұрын
@@thomasjohnson1546 it might ,I haven't tried that , I'm still learning about it myself,lol
@danielmcneely1579Ай бұрын
@@thomasjohnson1546 keep in mind that your controller will also have a max amperage limit. So if you put them all in parallel it’ll drive your amps up. I have 6 panels, so I’d probably do 2 groups of 3 in series and then parallel them together. You’ll just have to play with the numbers.
@thomasjohnson1546Ай бұрын
I have six and did them series then parallel. Also add fuses. 10 amp then 30. Watts up six hundred volts running around 80. It's perfect for bluettie system. Thanks
@matteocrotti678127 күн бұрын
Sorry! A real disaster! Screws too long and of poor quality. Replace all. Now I have to try to understand why it doesn't go down towards the north. Practically in a flat position it corresponds to the north. Actuator too short. Or should they be reversed?
