Over the last few weeks I've been getting lots of questions about what solar power starion is the best, EcoFlow, Jackery or Bluetti?
So i thought why not do a video and show you what each power bank has to offer, what my thoughts are on each of them and them most importantly can any of them cook me some bacon in and airfryer!
If you’d like to know more about any of the power stations in this view or the latest price and deal there are links to them all below.

As you said Daz this was only an experiment to show how these power banks work. I no longer have a van but I still use my Jackery 1000 and Bluetti 1000 and living where we live these power banks helped us over Christmas from 22nd December to the 07 January with only one socket working due to electric surge which damaged our electrics. They kept my fridge and freezer ticking over which was a life saver 🤗

I think EcoFlow are being a bit disingenuous with their implication that the Ecoflow River2 Pro can run appliances up to 1600W. In the EcoFlow River 2 Pro specs it says "AC Output Pure Sine Wave, 800W total (SURGE 1600W), 230V ~ 50Hz/60Hz and in the instructions it says "It can power devices RATED UP TO 1600W without incurring operation failure due to overload protection." It sounds like it's designed to withstand the initial surge on start up that can happen with some appliances but it's not designed to supply 1600w for prolonged use.

In my camper I use a 24V DC oven. Sure it takes a bit longer than an air fryer but it is much more efficient and easy on power. My camper is 24V so no conversion is needed. The overn pulls from 200-400 watts depending if you use both elements or just top or bottom. I have an air fryer at home and it is amazing how quick it cooks. There is no need to pre-heat it as it heats up very quick. My little oven makes excellent toast too.

Hi Daz & Tash Im upgrading the power in the van, and thinking of 300 lithium or powering everything from a power bank and 600 on the roof. The EcoFlow will be double the power than my lithium batteries, so If possible what are the pros/cons and what power bank would be best?

Hi Daz , both our Air-fryers suggest pre-heating first.. then your fryer is at temperature before cooking food at recommended times.. just like you do with your conventional oven at home etc. Preference for us would be the eco flow 👍

you should let the air-fryer cool to the same temp between trials as the last one gets the benefit of pre-heating from the others, hence it only pulled 800w.

Got a meater myself after seeing your review, problem is the internal temp probe cannot go that high, for ref: The ambient sensor of your probe can be used at temperatures up to 527°F/275°C, and the internal sensor can be used at temperatures up to 212°F/100°C. So 100 degrees and you can cause damage, good test really, maxed all 3 out and ecoflow once again pips the others

The EcoFlow reduces the AC voltage to provide extended wattage for the cooker. This is only safely workable with resistive loads (heaters) such as the fryer. It's a clever way to avoid tripping the breaker, BUT the heating effect will be proportionally less. That's why several passes were necessary. It's still a handy feature though. Basically it works like a variable speed control on an electric drill. Cheers Rob

The Bluetti is the best value as it can be bought for £619. Jackery do have a newer model with Lipo04 battery. I'm waiting for Ctechi to release their GT1500 in the UK. Eco flow has the smallest battery and higher power charger hence faster charging. However fast charging degrades the battery faster.

Nice presentation but I am not convinced that any of these are a viable option for off grid. If you have to charge using solar they all take a very long time to charge. May be better suited to camping and charging laptop and phones and run some led lights around the tent. But would be a very expensive purchase for this.

The Bluetti in the demonstration is mine. I don't have leisure batteries anymore. From early Spring to late Autumn I run my entire van; lights, diesel heater, fridge, tech & MacBook from it. 320watts of panels on the roof. (Mevi replying: KZbin keeps removing my replies, so I've switched to the main account) Contrary to popular belief, Daz doesn't get sent all of these for free. 😎 The Jackery 1000 Pro is new to the UK market and there are only a few UK reviews. Of the 2 I found on KZbin, only one was provided by Jackery themselves. The other was purchased by the reviewer. There is only ONE 3 month old UK review on Jackery's own website and the reviewer's photos show the Jackery 1000 (not pro) There are no UK reviews on Amazon The spec differences over the original Jackery 1000 are: full charge in 1.8hours (vs 7.5 hours) 2x 400W capable solar inputs (vs 1x 163W input) Built in AC charger (vs a separate power brick which plugs into the solar input) NMC chemistry, 1000 charge cycles to 80% capacity (vs 500) 2 USB-C ports (vs 1), but they still don't support the full PD spec. No 15v or 20v. There is a clear improvement in specs, however it's almost 2x the price of the Bluetti EB70 if you were to shop around.

The Meater overheated because it wasn't inserted into the meat. There's a big difference between the meat temperature and oven temperature and the meat is acting like a heat sink keeping the probe cooler(er) than the surrounding temperature. If you read the instructions they say: "DO NOT exceed the probe's internal sensor limit of 212°F / 100°C or the ambient sensor limit of 527°F / 275°C. Temperatures above these maximums may damage the probe." it looked like the probe internal temperature got too hot. The instructions also say: "DO NOT remove the probe while it is exposed to heat. The probe must be inserted in and removed from food away from all heat sources." (in other words do not just put it in the oven without it being inserted into the meat joint).

After reading many reviews and watching a lot of videos, I chose this option for my first backup power station. kzbin.infoUgkxHypYDKHAN93Lp2RQpfvU_ksc70wJ00pt I was between this and a larger option that could power a wider range of items, but the price/size/capacity blend seemed right for this unit. Hasn't gotten a ton of use yet, but the build quality is solid and it charges fine via the Rockpals solar panel I purchased to pair with it. One thing to note is that the screen is optimized for a top down viewing angle, which makes sense, but this means it washes out at other angles - especially low angles. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a better option for the display could be used to provide wider viewing angles.

It ran an air fryer when the Bluettii and Zachary would not, but it limited the power going to the airfryer so it didn't work the way the manufacturer had intended. Seems bad for anything that is plugged into it, doesn't seem like any of them will do the job you wanted to do. If my phone does not get the appropriate amount of power it does not charge properly or could possibly fry it. Phones do not like to get fried they break. Was that a 100% charge that went down to 33% Within 16 minutes? I don't see that you could run an air conditioner off of these or a refrigerator could you? There's got to be something better. I've heard people say that they've only lasted them a year.😮

The Jackery is only under 2 years if you actually run it down and charge it up 100 percent 500 times. This is the sort of misleading thing about the lifepo vs standard chemistry. Yes, it can recharge 3000 times. Unless you are using it massively that is completely irrelevant. If you only use 20 percent of your Jackery battery per day, you will end up with it taking 8-10 years to get to 80 percent charge level. Most people will never use their Jackery on this level therefore its kind of irrelevant that the Liftpo batteries last so long. Regardless, Lifepo is far more environmentally friendly and its safer so its a win there. Anyway, just wanted to add that.

If you want the wireless charger, why not go for the Bluetti. It's over £100 cheaper, larger capacity and has a larger more powerful 1000watt continuous inverter than the 800watts on the eco flow? The only reason is brand loyalty and recieving we eco flow products for free..

My whole solar system didn't cost as much as the cheap one. . . Including 3 130ah batteries. . And I've never ran out of power. . Its just a gadget you don't really need. . Pluss more weight 2 carry. . Be ok 4 tentin or weekend away

Unless genuine portability is needed for example tent camping or fishing you would get far better value for money adding to your fixed setup, leisure batteries and solar. It's tiresome seeing KZbinrs deceiving their viewers by giving gushing reviews for these overpriced, underpowered gimmicks in exchange for free stuff. Not to mention the inconvenience of having a great lump of a unit taking up floor space and having to bring everything to it to run/charge, when instead I have USB and inverter sockets around the motorhome in convenient places where they are needed. 460Ah Lithium and 665w solar on my MH and been off grid for the past 4 months in France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal and Ireland, extensive use of gaming laptop and portable twin tub washing machine as well as other gadgets.

Cynical. I respect that this isn't a device that you are interested in, but perhaps don't assume that you represent the ideal. The Bluetti featured in the video was lent to Daz by me. I own and use it daily.

@@Mevi Who knows what the ideal is. What bugs me is youtubers pimping these things and people who don't know any better paying though the nose for kit that they don't need.

@@WoollyWanderers People were paid to sell you the things that you DO buy. Do you really think that people are too daft to know if they have need for £750-£1000 of portable power bank? I have to point out that in the reviews Daz does (including this one), he recommends a permanent install much like the one that you enjoy. My tip for you to avoid the KZbin algorithm keep suggesting videos that are *very obviously* for products you don't like, is to NOT watch and comment 100+ words on them. Click the 3 little dots and choose "not interested".
