Ecosphere Update (Plants Taking Root!)

It's been a few weeks since the last update and the plants have began taking roots and spreading along the bottom. This is something that has never happened in the past! The plants stuck floating at the top have begun losing their leaves and dying as the result of not developing roots. The rooted plants should continue to develop and spread as time passes. The sphere is also recovering from a recent algae bloom and has slightly cloudy water at the moment. No fish or shrimp have died since the last update.

wow that's some big animals right there do you reckon their lifespan and cycle of reproduction is short enough to make the ecosphere self-sustainable?

Yes. Most of them are full grown here. I believe the fish and shrimp live for about a year give or take and reproduce several times. The populations will stabilize based on the food availability. If there are too many, they won't reproduced and if there is ample food, they will. I will be doing regular updates to track and document this!
