Thank you, Geoff for this sharing! Embarrassingly celebrating (winter solstice - now I know it’s summer solstice for us here) had always been part of the Chinese culture but all I knew growing up was that this is the month before the Lunar new year and traditions has it that we would “celebrate” by eating sweet dumplings in ginger soup! The significance of the summer solstice (and I imagine winter solstice back in China) had been quite interesting and profound for me. Please keep these sharing going!

@@SML-e73 That’s all great to hear Soak Mun, thank you for the kind words and also for getting so much out of the presentation. We all have to forgive ourselves for what we have missed, we weren’t raised to understand the significance of seasonal celebrations. I love to see some feedback there, hopefully we can inspire more public conversation and awareness about this! Thanks again and kind regards, Geoff

@@AnaFantin-xw6lz thanks a million Ana, I believe this kind of work will take hold more and more as people awaken to the fact that they’ve been socialised to accept a shallow myth of consumption and have missed out on a deep myth of connection and relationship with nature (within and without).
