EcoTech Vectra Troubleshooting: Red and Green Stall Error/Cleaning

In this video we will go over troubleshooting tips for the EcoTech Marine Vectra (S2, M2, and L2) when the controller is showing a stall error. The stall error will appear on the controller as a red and green flashing light on the control knob.

Purchased this pump about two years ago have only had it running for less than a year (11 months) and it randomly went into stall mode one afternoon. I’ve disassembled it, cleaned it, reset it countless times and still it’s stuck in Stall Mode. It starts then stops then starts and stops again for about 15-20 minutes. I’ve tried a new power supply that I received from Ecotech and have used there App but still the same result. $500 for a pump that didn’t even last a year and now I’m running one with the same GPH purchased on Amazon for $90!!

My goodness it was difficult finding this video in the middle of trying to find out why my pump wouldn’t run after cleaning. I think the knowledge base could use a bit of an overhaul for navigation. You should be able to find this without having to specifically state exactly what’s happening in your search terms. Go to ETM’s website, search for Vectra Manual and the only .PDF you can find is a quick start guide essentially. No troubleshooting, no parts lists, I don’t want to have to search KZbin for troubleshooting guides i have to watch. I want a manual that shows all of this please. Provide more than videos! That being said, thank you for this video at least was an absolute life saver.

What if no lights and not running at all???? Took it apart cleaned everything reassembled pump plug back up and nothing. It just past the two year warranty by a few days . Very frustrating…

Very disappointed in my vectra S2. Began stalling within the 1st week. I was sent a new one and had the same results. Great pump when it works, but expect it to stall at least 3 times per day.

How do you prepare the “pre-made cleaning solution”?

You buy some vinegar or citric acid and google the right proportions to mix?

My pump starts to work I see water flow start to generate bubbles then the pump back siphon in the sump and repeats the same process. Pump is not even 6 months old. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Having the same issue did you ever get yours to stop stalling? It starts then stops then starts and stops again for about 15-20 minutes until it shuts down.

@@dustinsleik8865 I did, i sent it to echotech and they sent me a new power supply and that was the issue, works perfect now
