I like that the Versa is rated for calcium reactors, dosing, water changes - pretty much anything you would need a pump to do. It makes it a lot more desirable over the DOS or other pumps for the price point.

Basically the same price. DOS is still a great pump but too loud for me so selling mine and going the versa route.

How have these held up over time? Do you have a long term review anywhere? Specifically I’m concerned about reliability (do you have to constantly adjust/calibrate) and how often you have to replace heads/tubing!

@ Reefdudes, did your unit have any issues? Such as the O-ring not locking in place or the unit leaking? or the unit being unusually loud?

no leaks on mine. I heard there was a batch that had some o-ring issues. If you call ecotech they will ship you out some new larger o-rings for free. One pump was a little louder then the rest.. i manually moved it around a bit then let it run over night and it was nice and quiet the next day.. may have just taken the grease a bit to work its way into all the gears.

I can't believe this thing has been out of stock everywhere for over six months. I really wanted to give them my hard earned money but at this point I can only assume Ecotech's supply chain is ridiculously weak. I know companies have had problems with COVID but everyone else has figured it out. I've waited long enough, guess I have to buy the DOS for AWC's.

Exactly what I thought! I would have guessed the rollers going back to the exact same spot every time would wear those particular spots more quickly & if they instead stoped at random points that would spread the wear so increase tube life?

I think it’s to make the start position accurate. Notice it goes to the beginning of the roller range almost to reset it’s amount pumping.

Bluetooth only. There will be a way to link to wifi though other gear down the road. So it’s coming!

Do you have a video on how to program them , I kept trying and trying and nothing , my wifi antena is 10’ from the versa pump I am on front of the versa trying to add them to my Mobius app and nothing nothing nothing , is frustrating man after almost two hours that nothing gets attached to the app

I got a kamoer pump about a month ago and I still can't connect it bc I need a 2.4ghz wifi connection. Can you connect these through 5.0ghz? Or does it have to be 2.4?

I have not seen nor tried to do that yet as I would rather dose a tiny amount daily. The app is ever evolving so you never know in future updates.

Deven I think mine is kind of defective or something because I spend another two hours today and three yesterday and is no way that will get add to my already movius app it keeps saying fail and am doing it with the Bluetooth wish is the only way to do it If I can ever ge t it to work will be nice to do water changes Do you have a video on that? No I haven’t but I had bad experience with them when I was programming my radions G5’s, am still waiting for their return email or call from three months ago. Hopefully this time is better. I unplug the units main electrical cord from wall like they recommended with the lights but nothing the app does not record and retain them

Yes i asked about that and a batch had a bad batch of o-rings.. They are sending out bigger one for free to anyone that had that issues. Should be fixed for all new pumps shipping.

@@ReefDudes on both pumps, the mother boards went bad. hard reset did not work. had to replace them both. then on both pumps the bearings went bad. just got the new QD MP40. have to say the new pumps are awesome and built better.

They are amazing, but only complain is that there is no way to know how munch have been dosed ( like the Apex DOS).

They do have a catch up mode to ensure it will dose what that are programmed to ina day .. wouldn’t you just look at the schedule to tell?

ReefDudes I selected that option, but is not about what is on schedule to be dosed. Is about what was dosed during the day. You can program to dose 20 ml but that does not mean that the pump did the dose. A confirmation number is what make the Apex DOS superior in that aspect . Don’t get me wrong I do love my Versa 4 pack. They are so quiete for my dosing needs that sometimes I just go at the time of dosing to the pumps to see that they are working as expected 🤣.

From what I have seen this is the best doser on the market - and the best value. It's pricey if you need 4 sure but I'd just go one and do Tropic Marin Carbo Calc. But this is going to make Calcium Reactors much more accessible and I think it negates the need for an upmarket one like the Deltec or the Kore7

Hard to beat jebao for the price... for generic dosing.. these can do ultra precise dosing, or move massive amounts of water for auto water changes.. so all depends what your goals/use case is.

@@marcelrodriguez2067 also, jabeo calibration not that great only can do 100ml. Also you have to run on timer just in case your heads get stuck and keep pumping all of the fluid in to your tank. I mean mine worked but you have no control with phone or anything. I agree it's expensive
