A few questions -Will it cope with a small area of 40% slope without getting stuck? -4 wheels? -warranty and after sales?

I don't have a 40% slope to test unfortunately. I think it'd not make it though. 3 wheels not 4 and Ecovacs after sales is an unknown from my point of view as I haven't had to contact them for anything yet.

Nice vid Matt. I have an Ecovac Vacuum. I’ve had a few dramas with it and their after sales service was terrible. Their Vacuum ap hasn’t been updated in years too. Interested to see how this goes for you over time.

Actually I have an X1 vac and they have rolled out updates such as poop ai avoidance… now given theres a new x2 out I’m not expecting too much more in terms of updates… they did however reach out and ask what feature improvements we wanted and good to see these appearing in the x2… for their first mower very impressed… just need to save the pennies to get this… 😂

Is it posible with ecovacs G1 800m2 cut more than 800m2? For example if I buy 4 ECOVACS Navigation Beacon for Robot Mowers GOAT G1? Or is it possible to make territory A and territory B ?

Nice review. I grew up in Dubbo and the soil in your garden looks the same as Dubbo’s red soil (Dubbo means ‘red soil’ in aboriginal language). Do you live somewhere near Dubbo? I saw some hills in the background so I’m thinking maybe Wellington or similar?

How does it handle slopes? I need to get this or Luba in the new year. I don’t think Luba can handle inner city front yards that have fences and walls next to the lawn, isn’t it? Because the mower won’t have the direct sight to the antenna.

Luba can handle not seeing the antenna. My front doesn’t have direct sight if the antenna. I’m not sure about the fence thing you described. It handle my front fence fine. Luba mk2 comes out 10/1/24 - might be worth a look.

@@lawnporn thanks. I think I will wait for luba 2. It should work for almost all yards with its 3D vision along with gps. My husqvarna is only a year old but can’t wait to get rid off it.

Not particularly. Can’t be a total jungle but you’d mow it down with a rotary and then go from there would be fine.

Would you buy this one or spend the extra money on the Luba? Does one do anything better or worse than the other?

I knew this question would come. I think they’re both rather easy to set up. The dual blade and shock absorbers of the Luba make for a better cut in my opinion. Luba doesn’t pick up as much of the obstacles the Ecovacs does. I like how Luba can do more than 1 area.

The Luba also allows you to do more than one zone so unless this machine is cheap or you had one area of lawn dice , good review though

Thank you for your review! Since you have two different yards, do you have to map it out each time you wanted to cut each area or was it saved after the first mapping?

Hey thanks for the comments. I think I mentioned it that you can only do one yard with this mower. Best to my knowledge, you can save yards (back and front etc) but that’d need extra navigating beacons and also to stay in one place. I think a software update will come along and fix the issue.

It can but I didn’t have extremely high grass. Best to mow it with a mower first and get it to the height you’d like to cut is what most robot mowers recommend

I have another 2 robot mowers I have to review so at the moment the Ecovacs is still there. After I’ve reviewed the other I’ll make a decision as to which one will stay.

It’s a fair point. Seeing as this only does 1 area it’s better for rear secure yards in my opinion.
