It will shock if me this ever happens . 1. Need a constititutional ammendment in Nigeria. NASS have to approve it. 2/3 of the states have to approve it. 2. 3 percent budget deficit, single digit inflation, 70 percent debt to GDP ratio 3. No credible plan to phase out the Naira. 4. Need to ammnd the CBN act. Instead of chasing a fantasy. Ecowas should look at more realistic options like developing a payment system where we can bypass the dollar. Engage in trading in national currencies by passing the dollar. When we do get the Eco which would be atleast 10 years from now. It should be backed by gold and natural resources, not pegged to dollar or Euro. They should keep their own national currencies. Both the Naira and Eco should be accepted.

Ivory Coast just clocked all criterias … Fiscal deficit at 3.99 (under 4%) inflation at 2.5 (single digits) and debt to gdp at 35% (under 70%). Idk which data homeboy looking at but IC economy is surely second… well above Ghana and we are also second in GDP per capita (where Nigeria is 11th)
