It all depends on the transmission, I have a 2009 Nissan Murano SL AWD with 412k ish. I regularly change the CVT fluid. I read the CVT doesn’t like heat or sudden acceleration. So I’m sure it helps I don’t accelerate heavily. My coworker owns a 2012 Nissan Juke AWD with 289k, as of last week. In her defense, she doesn’t leave Aquidneck Island in RI, and doesn’t go over 45MPH. Her Juke should last forever lmao

Earlier model hondas have built somewhat of a reputation from the 1.5T. the CRVS with oil dilution in colder climates and the accord 1.5T. But the civics with the 1.5T have seemed to stand the test of time. I’ve seen Civic si’s with 180k on them. Others with at least 150k. And somebody put 200k trouble free miles on a 2022 1.5T Civic over one year. Seems like the engine is great in the civics while other models I can’t really say.

In addition: 1) MDX more affordable derivatives: Honda Pilot and Passport. Their V6 and auto trannies will last 15 - 20 years if properly maintained. PERIOD! 2) Any V8 from GM has the crappy cylinder deactivation which MUST be deactivated to ensure engine longevity, which, in theory could last to 300K mi. I cannot say the same thing about the 10-speed from Fordlet or Che'Ford. 3) Sorry but the fun to drive Honda CR-V has a TURBO and a CVT....At least one of those two items will not make it to 300K miles. The BASIC Toyota RAV4, a boring vehicle to drive for sure and not as cool looking has a large, normally aspirated 4 cylinder and 8-speed automatic transmission. Guess which one will last longer without any major problems?
@myk1_sp
@myk1_sp Жыл бұрын
Honda also has the crappy cylinder deactivation technology called VCM on their V6 engines, so it would be a good idea to disable or delete it if you keep it for over 5-10 years.

Most cars exept jeep,or chrysler will last if you maintain the following change transmission every sixty five thousand miles also differential and tranfer case. Coolant every three years,oil change. Oil /filter every four thousand Miles. Also do not drive like a mad man and take care of your car. Most drivers will never do this will drive and trade in every three years. The american sport will never change.

Clearly this was shot a long time ago but only posted 3 months ago because some things were said which were quite outdated... yet, I see the redesigned CRV. Hmm. I guess it's not so old.

Past 2015, I believe so. You have to use the 0W-16/GF-6B oil instead of GF-6A.

That issue is totally overhyped and there have been no major issues. Check used Honda prices and see for yourself.
