Separett Villa 9000 Installation

How to install a Separett Villa 9000 urine separating, compost toilet. Available in the UK and Ireland from The Little House Company (littlehouse.co). We also supply all the accessories and other products from Separett and AirHead.
Villa 9010 installation would be the same, except that the electrical connection is 12 volt DC.

Would a unit like that be RV friendly? I can imagine no black tanks to clean. Just expand the fresh water tank and only worry about dumping the gray tanks.

Yes it work great in RV's. There are some videos already on KZbin where people have fitted these into Skoolies and similar. The only downside is that the toilet is physically quite big, but if you have the space it feels like a regular toilet. Alternatively, Separett have just launched a new product call the Tiny which, as the name suggests, is smaller and have a smaller solids capacity.

Im using this awesome product, just tell me... If you use this, then left only grey water. In water purificator is now problem that bacteries have no "food". How do you clean this grey water which left?

Hi. I'm not sure I understand your question. The liquid output from these toilets is simply urine. Usually, this can go into a small soak-away pit (small hole, filled with rubble, gravel etc) and as urine contains lots of nitrogen, this is an ideal 'food' for bacteria to feed off. What remains is some urine and generally water which will dissipate into the soil. No need for further action as the volume of liquid is low. I also suggest that the soak-away pit for the urine is not used for anything else, so if you have a sink or basin, make sure that drains somewhere else as the grease, skin cells and detergents in the sink could cause a smell to come back up through the toilet.

@@MartinDoyle Hi Martin, first of all Im sorry for my bad english. Thats becouse my own language is quite different frou your own. But I absolutly understand what do you say. Problem is only with my texts. Ok, now what I mean. In different nations are normal use separating toilets. We normally "95%" of us use water toilets and all dirty waters from toilets and other sources (like bathroom) go in one place. It can be some huge tank, or sump or any water purificator which can eliminate "pee nad poo" with bacteries. But some of us trying use nature friendly separating toilets. When we do that, we have only "grey water (thats mean without pee-poo) and problem is that water purificator cant work. There is no food for bacteries. So Im looking for solution how to clean dirty water from kitchen, bathroom and other sources. Our republic have strict norms about draining water back to nature. We just cant speread out grey water to nature.

Didn't see any mechanism to "mix" the compost material after each use.

Liad Bar-EL There isn't a mixer. Because you don't use any cover material there is no need to mix. Remember this is a compost toilet and not a composting toilet - composting takes place away from the toilet which is just an efficient collection unit. Mixers add complexity and will fail at some point. Minimum moving parts keeps it simple and reliable.

u didn't show how much liquids it holds and how to drain/empty the liquids part.

Hi Rob - it doesn't hold any liquid. The separating bowl drains the liquid and runs it round the back of the unit, where it exits. From there, you can either plumb it into an existing greywater/draining system, run it into a soakaway pit, or capture it for subsequent use as a fertiliser. If you are on a boat then most people have a separate tank which will need emptying when full.
