ECRL
The mega project of ECRL (East Coast Rail Link) or Laluan Rel Pantai Timur is a standard gauge double-track railway link infrastructure project connecting Port Klang to Kota Bharu via the East Coast Economic Region states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
This project would carry both passengers and freight from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia to its East Coast.
The project provides for the double tracking and standard gauge railway line.
The proposed alignment for Phase 1 of the railway features 22 stations running along a 600.3 km route. It connects from Kota Bharu (Kelantan) to ITT Gombak (Selangor) in less than four hours.
Next video update of this project will be covering the second phase of ECRL upon final confirmation by Malaysia government.

Dgr2 ade plan utk Trans-Borneo railway..if d plan jadi, it will b d best news for Borneo ppl PUTRAJAYA: The government will conduct a feasibility study in 2024 for a pan-Borneo railway system, says Anthony Loke. The Transport Minister said this would ensure seamless development in the entire country and not just the peninsula, adding that various groups had called for Sabah and Sarawak to have its own rail system.

@@Winnie_ThePooh8964 dont look solely at dollar n cents..its more than that..more ppl will explore these places, more economy activities, more investment coming, raise up ppl quality of life..young generation will less migrate to big cities/ other countries n so on...i can say tranportation is like blood circulation, if ur blood circulation is good then ur body can do anything u want..if transportation is good/efficient, ur town/city will be good. Enuf said

you can't compare the length and distance of this line to the whole of singapore mrt man. JB -Gemas ETS will be launching next year, finally connecting KL to JB sentral though

@@anasmzln not really. We could say ETS train departed from KL sentral every hour which is not bad. But if more trains will it make the track itself congested? Coz they share tracks with komuter and cargo

Ini bukan bina rumah atap lah… 😂 Dan walaupun terowong dan landasan dah siap, perlu 2-3 tahun lagi utk pemasangan kabel elektrik, sistem signalling (semboyan) dan macam2 lagi ujian perlu dijalankan sebelum perkhidmatan penumpang boleh dilancarkan. Rujuk projek landasan berkembar Gemas - JB.

Satu je benda slack sikit bab ECRL, track gauge tak sama dgn railway yg sedia ada. ECRL pakai standard gauge, yg lain pakai meter gauge. Kalau track gauge selaras, ECRL boleh connect dgn semua port kat semenanjung, bukan hanya Kuantan dan Port Klang. Still, moga ECRL berjalan lancar.

meter gauge tak boleh nak bawa laju-laju, sebab tu bila mereka plan untuk ECRL mereka pakai standard gauge standard gauge ni boleh tampung sampai ke kelajuan HSR kalau mereka nak beli train jenis laju masa depan nanti meter gauge paling laju pun memang setakat 160km/j saja dekat dunia ni ETS tu dah memang dekat limit paling habis tinggi dah untuk meter gauge, laju lagi memang tergelincir keluar dari rail untuk selamat mereka limit ETS ke 140km/j walaupun ujian berjaya sampai 160km/j

Kemungkinan itu berlaku adalah rendah. Bilangan dan kepadatan penduduk di pantai timur jauh berbeza/lebih rendah berbanding dengan pantai barat.

@@gan247 di masa akan datang x mustahil kependudukan di sana padat di samping akan muncul bandar2 baru di sepanjang jajaran ECRL di tambah pula 3 bandar besar sedia ada(Kuantan,K.Terengganu & Kota Bharu),kita juga tahu trend setiap tahun laluan Pantai Timur kerap sesak bila tibanya musim cuti atau Perayaan yg laluan lebuhraya sedia ada kerap berlaku kesesakan yg teruk di sumbangkan lagi migrasi penduduk muda berhijrah ke ibu negara

ECRL banyak kegunaannya untuk kargo dari Kuantan ke Pelabuhan Kelang bukan setakat bawa penumpang sahaja, rasanya mungkin dapat kurangkan bilangan lori2 besar diatas lebuhraya nanti..

it appears to be single track on double track layout, can be expanded if the demand increases. The tunnel photos looks like wide enough for dual direction.

Dari Bandar Permaisuri, Setiu tuh dia terus potong daerah KTrg & KNerus hok alik hutan bedo'oh, pastu lalu Marang sikit sebelum jejok Stesen Dungun. Dungun, Paka & Kemaman kalu nok kiro dekat sangat tapi perlu Stesen berasingan sebab ada Pelabuhan Kemaman dan industri berat Telok Kalong dan tak lupa, Oil & Gas Kerteh..

Pelabuhan Kuantan pasti akan lebih sibuk selepas ini kerana kapal2 dari negara disebelah timur asia akan singgah berlabuh di Kuantan bagi memendekkan jarak pelayaran seterusnya bawaan barang gunakan keretapi hinggalah ke Port Klang untuk penyebaran disebelah pantai barat. 😊

ECRL dah bagus tapi pantai timur banjir tiap tahun. Susah industry nak masuk unless government do something to reduce impak banjir. Maybe federal government can do something related dgn project tambatan banjir n pemparitan

0:11 ini apaa daa satu terowong muat satu keretapi lebar je bole laa ,klu dia buat dua line lebih baik xde sgt ganguan lalu lintas tu sbb saya cadangkan kat kerajaan jika ada lagi byk dana mohon dia bina satu jalur disebelah landasan ni bagi pertingkatkan kemajuan negara yess ia akan jdi sempurna double line mcm keretapi ktm pun semua dh double line dan ia bagus sbb satu line bole lalu dua landasan dan ia xde sekat ii keretapi kargo dan penumpang dpt lalu bersama
