I have a mk6 gti ed35. Got me this forge bov...car doesn't sound like the one in the clip. Just gives the basic pshhh sound. ECS turning. What else dis you to to the car to give it that flutter sound ?

Did you order a Blow Off Valve or a Diverter Valve. This video seems to be a diverter valve. The key difference is that a BOV will just dump your boost into the atmosphere rather than recirculating it. That’s why a blow of valve is just a PSHHH while it dumps straight into the air.

Just bought this. My diverter valve sounds stock. Makes no noise whatsoever.. anyone have any ideas? Stock spring that came in it.. should be hooked up correctly. I cant tell any difference

LOL it isn't working in the video.you could achieve that same sound buy disconnecting the vacuum line from your stock bypass valve and plugging the line, but then that would be hard on your turbocharger, but to each their own

Sounds like yalls bypass/diverted valves aren't working right, may want to check the vacuum line running to it.

hey! I've got the 2,0t audi a3 and i fitted the blow off valve to my car but it makes little to no noise what so ever? Everything has to be really quite and only i can hear it, i probably just imagine it! I've had my car checked for boost leaks and a dyno and no problems?!

Well for 1 thing it shouldn't sound like it does in the video if it world correctly. If you aren't making boost you may have too light a spring in it. Mine came with multiple stiffness springs

Can you buy a Blow Off Valve Spacer without the Check engine light coming on? Also i have the APR Stage 1 tune, on a 2011 Audi a4, intake is stock, What do you think my results would be like?

You won't get a cel with the spacer but will leak a bit of oil from there if you don't have the dv relocation kit , assuming you have a mk6 Tsi engine dv location on the mk6 is terrible and a pain to get the spacer on from its oem place

It makes the noise you just can’t hear it. I think they put a mic in the engine bay to pick it up this loud. Try getting a video of a drive by from the outside

You can get that noise from blocking off the vacuum line to your stock diverter valve. The one in the video is failing to open which is bad. You never want to hear that sound.

It does nothing but replace the stock bypass valve which releases pressure when you get off the throttle when in boost. Will not have any power gain from this at all, and since it is a vent to air design it may throw off maf sensor reading which would in turn throw off your air fuel and or put your car into limp mode without a tune to compensate for the lost air. And just fyi in the video it is not functioning properly. It isn't opening which is causing backpressure to force its way back through the compressor housing causing that noise. This is horrible on a turbocharger and will wear it out much faster. It is sad that this "performance"company would put out a video like this. That just shows their lack of knowledge in things car related. I'd say stay away. I owned a legitimate forge bypass valve and it worked, but required periodic lubing with silicone grease to stay functioning. After I tuned and brought boost levels above stock it would bleed boost like crazy and I eventually replaced it with a blockoff plate and an hks ssqv bov.

It will only make noise when your Turbo builds boost and you let off the throttle and the butterfly in your throttle body shuts. It shouldn't make a.noise like in the video because that is a bad noise. That is the sound of it failing to open and vent boost pressure, which is then forcing its way back through the compressor wheel. That will hurt the Turbo charger over time. It is truly sad that a "performance"company would release a video of a product like this.it shows that they don't have a clue about cars or the product they are selling or its purpose.

LOL bad sound! And not bad as good bad as in horrible. You could save money and get this same sound by blocking off the vacuum line to your diverter valve,which would hurt your Turbo eventually. The one in the video isn't opening like it should be.

Sounds like your spring is too heavy and you're dealing with some compressor surge. People keep saying how nice ot sounds.. but you're killing that turbo.

He probably installed it correctly.what you hear in the video is it failing to open and vent pressure.either too stiff a spring, its stuck shut, or vacuum line issue.

That sound is boost pressure forcing its way backwards through the compressor blades because the bypass/ diverter valve in the video is failing to open like it is supposed to. It should be more of a pssst sound like air escaping. This could be caused by too stiff a spring inside, the valve itself being stuck shut from gunk, the vacuum line isn't hooked up correctly, a broken print inside not sealing allowing the vacuum.line to open it.
