there’s something so comforting in people praying for your health even when you’re an atheist, whenever i visit the priest who baptized me he always prays for me and “blesses” me, even though i haven’t been religious since 2nd grade it still gives me so much comfort and the more time goes by the more i appreciate people who genuinely wish for your well being, it was especially touching for me since i came out as lesbian around 5 years ago and felt like no one else supported and helped me

I'm Mexican and this reminds me of how my mother used to brush my hair at night and would also take an egg and rub it over my skin if I ever felt sick while whispering a prayer. It was super relaxing and always calmed my nerves, this reminds me so much of my own mother. Thank you so much for the content! I’m Russian, and the way Dona Esperanza whispers and prays reminds me the way my atheist grandmother whispered to me, lullabying. It was this gentle “sh” noise and probably some words, I don’t really remember, it sounded like water or wind, and it was so calming in a dark small room, in a cosy bed… Prayers of Dona Esperanza remind me of my granny’s lullaby, I feel so safe… Thank you 💙

I love listening to her praying. I'm Italian, and my nonna (grandmother) used to begin gently praying the second she woke up, several times throughout the day, and right before she went to sleep. She'd pray as she fixed her bed in the morning and washed her face (when I was a child I would always end up sneaking into her bed and snuggling up at night and I'd help her fix her bed in the morning). And when she was dressed and ready, she'd sit in her rocking chair by the window and I'd sit at her feet and she'd look up to the sky and finish her prayer. I always felt so safe and loved as she thanked God and asked Him to watch over us all. And I was always inspired by the strength of her love for God, which was palpable in her prayers. I'm not very religious, but I miss that so much. She passed away 3 years ago right before her 100th birthday. She must be euphoric to be with God now. Anyway, the sound of this woman's gentle, loving prayers is so relaxing and comforting.

What a beautiful example your grandmother was to you. Not of being religious but having a relationship with the living God. Hands down the best video so far ! Long length of time ! Favorite limpia, love how she did it with different leaves. These were so much more gentle and not as loud. I love her whispers.
