Ed Cycles ECRRT Maytown to New Smyrna Beach

S1E6. The route begins at the Maytown trailhead located about 18 miles due east of the city of Sanford, Florida. This segment of the East Central Regional Rail Trail is 17.5 miles in length. An additional 4.5 miles will get you to the sand on the beach! The trail itself is rural and quiet. The additional route to the beach is along multi-use paths, bike lanes and quiet secondary streets. This video includes segments showing trailheads and points of interest, including Riverside Park, historic Canal Street, the NSB museum of history, Old Fort Park and Flagler Street to the sand.

Ed, you have NO idea how much we appreciate your videos! I tried to watch other bike rider videos, but NONE of them explain where they're starting their trip, the route they're taking, or point out places and points on the road a rider needs to pay attention to. Thanks for sharing . . . on my bucket list, only after I ride to Titusville from Sanford. Maybe try a triangle between the three, but it would require an overnite or two for sure! I'm 74!

Yep, it has been hot! They say to never let them see you sweat, so while I have been riding, I have not been recording! That will change soon, as I do have several routes planned to ride/review in the near future. Should see new videos in November. Thanks for commenting!
