I wasn’t going to post this originally as it’s OBVIOUSLY out of the norm of what I post here. It's horror related, so if you like that stuff, look up (Ed Gein) to learn more, but if horror ain't your thing, this video ain't for you. Usually my videos relate to military aviation and the railroads. This was just a brief side trip I shot with my Iphone 8 while I was driving from Southern California all the way to Oshkosh, WI for the EAA AirVenture show for the week. SORRY FOR THE CRAPPY CAMERA QUALITY! I'm already sunburnt with incredibly dry skin from all the heat throughout the trip. I stopped by plainfield, WI which is an hour away from Oshkosh. I liked horror movies and stories growing up and thought id make a stop. Enjoy my midday ride where the old Gein farm house once stood. If you think i'm wrong about anything I'm taking about, Or perhaps you think I should make more Vlogs, comment below.
Quick fact:
-Ed Gein lived on this property from 1914-1957 (age 6-51) (till he was detained for life).

I looked at many photos of the house before I went there. Feel like most of them weren't quite wide enough to see the streets to be 100% sure. Glad I guessed correct.

I just stopped there on 3-25-22 and snapped a few quick pics from the road, as not to trespass. Definately worth it if you happen to be in the area. Just neat to actually see it live after seeing it on TV.

After the house burned down, the local community planted trees where it had stood. So I think you're right when you say that the grouping of trees directly opposite from the gate would have been the site of Gein's house.

If you get on Google maps, you can see for yourself where the trees don't grow in a diagonal line, most likely where the driveway was. Just to the left of that, you can see almost a rectangular shape to the trees, and what looks like some old debris scattered around the area where the house would have sat.
