I do audio books and I was listening to the book of Acts Peter and John said silver and Gold have I none but in the name of Jesus Christ get up and walk The problem is the church is to fixated on money how can those apostles who are in the Bible not have a Rolls-Royce a mansion a million dollars but yet still be put in the word of God😮

My question to the church members that are defending RM has been the same. Why RM did not turned himself in 35 years ago. Christian needs to be held on a higher standard than the world. This man has been put on the pedestal for 35 years avoiding consequences.

How wealthy is this couple? Can anyone that follows these pastors inform me on how much they give to the poor? As a Christian why do you feel it’s necessary to be a part of a church of this size? Jesus helped the poor and I pray to God that these mega churches do the same. The amount of wealth one will generate from God’s message is upsetting. I’m working on a documentary right now following Dominican nuns that have given their lives to God, the poor and sick. I see these two dress in designer clothes and spending probably hundreds of thousands of dollars on their wealthy lifestyle from the the community’s pocket and it’s just comes off wasteful and evil.

The Israelites, however, had been forbidden to represent the Lord under any visible form. Cf. 20:4. In the tenth century Jeroboam made golden calves for the shrines at Bethel and Dan, presumably to function as thrones for the Lord as the ark did in Jerusalem (see 1 Kgs 12:27-30).

Gateway is not the only church in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex affected by its leader's sexual immorality. They are taking a moment to preach on the subject of the many churches in the metroplex and beyond that have been affected.

You’re assigning malicious motive where there is none. Reality is Robert Morris sexually assaulted a child and the consequences are people don't feel safe in Gateway Church. Over half of women (53%) and nearly one-third of men (29%) report experiencing sexual violence. For the love of victims, it’s a relief when Ed and Lisa say that’s not acceptable and it will not be tolerated. We should not be more interested in the reputation of criminal people who chose to harm others than those who are seeking refuge from the harm they have experienced.

Speaking of holding each other accountable, I think it was very wrong for Ed to try and teach his buddies a “lesson” by spewing the “F” word so they could see how ridiculous it was. Why not simply speak to them about their foul language? It was also disturbing that he comments that “it was probably wrong” but continues to laugh about it. I suspect his wife was horrified that he was sharing this with their church not to mention tons of people who would watch that video. I encourage you to reconsider your actions and do better Pastor Ed. Maybe even apologize so those younger in the faith don’t follow the same behavior because of your example.

Perfection....is any man or woman perfect? Does making you a Pastor make you perfect...No! We'll then who is perfect...God! Jesus! The Holy Spirit! Don't get me wrong read your Bible. Was King David perfect...No! Yet God called him a man after His own heart. The key to every man, woman, boy and girl is repentance. Am I saying this gives Pastors a license to sin...No! Remember Romans 3:23 says: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So what is the answer...Pray! Are we not all capable of falling into sin? Yes! But our job is to lift up the fallen in prayer. Whether they are a Pastor, an Elder, a Deacon, a lay person. Let's let go of the holier than thou attitude and remember that without God we are nothing. Let each of us come to that place of repentance daily! May God be with us all!

According to scripture, preaching is a HUGE liability and accountability before God. Just be careful not to be very proud ( prideful) of a successful large church or the gift of being a good speaker. Remember its God’s message we are His messengers. He is to get ALL credit, glory& honor. God tells us everything we need to know in the word if God. The Holy Spirit DOES work in a Christians life.

Love this Church so much. Love the way they approached the whole thing. Coming from and out of allot of so called “church hurt” or whatever you want to call it I know full well the pain Church leadership can unintentionally inflict on a person or family when something terrible or sin has happened. Today’s sermon helped me get back another piece of myself I lost for a bit. I’ve been attending Fellowship for a few years now because I simply knew God has my family there and that was enough for me but todays sermon helped me heal and see that in this environment I’m ready to get more involved and take more steps to build my life around the Church family again. Thank you so much Pastor+Lisa. Truly a life changing sermon and another healing one for me. Who knew. ❤

That’s right Ed “show me the money” Young and that will be the summation of your entire ministry. God is not going to remove the consequences of your entire life’s work. Oh plus you invested F-One, to keep tabs to real Christians in order to try ruin their faith. You’ll not get the consequences of that move removed by a Holy God from your account at the moment of your death either.

Fellowship One (F-One, F1) was a CRM created to keep a record of church members and their families, like attendance, involvement in ministries, etc. And it was short-lived, as Fellowship sold the software, and moved onto something else. These days churches all over the world use software like Fellowship One, and if they don't they are living in the dark ages... Planning Center, Community Church Builder, etc all do the same thing, in your opinion "keep tabs".

The spirit of Jezebel does make someone sin but it doesn't negate anything. The father didn't want to press charges and Pastor Morris did repent even though he was caught repentance did come and MOSES committed a crime of murder and was used by God. I do not think humans are ready to forgive to allow him to pastor them but God can use ANYONE that repents. The child was complicit becvause she said no to intercourse but still said yes to going to the car many times. She knew and so the father was hiding his child's iniquity and Morris did tell his wife and the elders and the father and he had deliverance. He can pastor if it is removed from Pastor Morris books and the father was not pressing charges. I don't think pastors tell everything they have morally failed on because HUMANS cannot forgive like God does. What ELSE IS CHRISTIANITY. RESTORATION. REVIVED.

There is no temptation greater than the power of the Holy Spirit over it (I Cor 10:13 and the whole NT). Satan is not greater than a person who resist the devil (resist and he will flee). God commands us to obey the laws of the land. Molesting a minor is against the law whether the child's parent presses charges or not. Molesting a child is also sin! Your response actually speaks volumes on your thought process and spiritual state. It's shocking that you blame a 12 year old. I'm not sure how you know he repented. You've missed a lot of what's been revealed. We can look at how long God gave the Amorites to repent before judgment fell to see God's patients toward repentance. He doesn't usually give as long as he gave them (400 years) because they were a nation and in many cases it's an individual. But He gives time, and then Time's Up!

This response is theologically incorrect. Ed says we have a relationship to God but we don’t talk to him and he doesn’t talk back. God spoke to others in the Bible and he doesn’t change so I talk to god and he talks back why doesn’t he with you? That’s a problem. Also, the jezebel spirit is absolutely a known biblical demonic spirit spoke about several times. Furthermore, these pastors addressing this the way they are gossiping period. What happened at Gateway is very sad and indisputably wrong however Mosses murdered, David murdered, many have sinned in very wrong ways but god STILL used them…Lastly, God also decides consequences and much like handling your children sometimes you extend grace rather than consequences because extending the punishment would do far more damage…think about a time your parent extended you grace because you knew you did something wrong and the disappointment in yourself was far greater than your parents consequence…casting sins from east to west..so many issues with this sermon. Agreed, pastors should be held to a higher standard BUT let’s not forget how we communicate with God, Gods option for grace despite circumstance, and the demonic forces that are dividing everyone right now. Also, no Bible verses to back up any of this sermon. This is really bad.

Historically Jezebel was the wicked wife of Israel's King Ahab. That being said, where does the Bible talk about the Jezebel _spirit?_ People comparing a set of sins and behaviors to the woman Jezebel is one thing, but creating a boogie-man called "the Jezebel spirit" to explain away our own choices is just superstitious paganism

Watching this and him preach just also shows how prideful pastor ed is. The spirit of jezebel is real and we all fall short of the glory but thats where God comes in to redeem and forgive us Im sure you have a past jusy not the same past. You also can not preach that someone pray over you and not be healed. As someone who has dealt with generational issues for year and now free and broken from it can speak against that. God heals and he speaks through others. I have heard God many times tell me things.
