Having a rise in pensions next spring has nothing to do with the heating allowance withdrawal. The annual pension rise is to compensate for the rising cost of living and is not intended to pay for heating bills for a previous winter. It is like a mother saying to her child 'you will have no dinner tonight because you are having breakfast tomorrow'.

Why is no one questioning any politician on high costs of living for single living people? We have to pay out 100% of bills ourselves with only a measly 25% discount on council tax! Couple spend on average £10k a year less than a single person does just to live as they are able to share the bills unlike single people. Couples also get huge tax breaks as single living don't! Bills and rent for single people are the same as a couple. How is this justifiable when single people use less than a couple? Single living costs have to be addressed! No wonder suicide rates are higher for singular people, particularly in men! Yet the media and politicians stay silent on this!

Then 8 Million gas boilers changed to electric heat exchangers, 2 million cars are so far electric or hybrid, We have a total of 30 Million petrol / diesel cars which need converting to electric, So please tell me Mr Milliband where the extra electric going to come from ? to supply 1.5 M Houses, 8 M heat exchangers and 30 M cars let alone what else needs adding to the list. Can you see the problem and the UK is responsible for less than 1% of world pollution when China is responsible for 27%, Mr Milliband is like a modern day King Canute but this idiot thinks he can actually stop the tide.
