Ed Milliband, our new Energy Chief has ripped up the ban on onshore wind and is going hell for leather on a mad spending spree of your money to make our grid less secure and the cost of power very expensive for decades to come.
Calderdale Wind Farm featured here is just one of the many start up renewable projects that account for even more transfer of wealth from the poor too the rich. I expose the deceit they use in promoting their project.

That Calderdale wind farm, is being proposed on moorland, which has a very rich and diverse ecology. It used to be owned by Lord Savile, but was sold to the owner of a large store called Boundary Mills. He has been reprimanded for not managing the moorland. Not far from the moor, is a derelict cottage, thought to be the setting for "Wuthering Heights". Just a few miles away are the historic towns of Haworth and Hebden Bridge, both tourist attractions. Nearby, and not far from me, is another wind farm which has been there for over 30 years. I call it the "Borg" farm, because of the nine turbines, I've rarely seen more than seven actually working. In fact one turbine has never worked for more than a few weeks years ago. Often there will be just three or four working. And of course we have days, when all is still. On reflection, the load capacity of that farm must be less than 20%, since 22% is virtually missing to start with. And that's what we're paying for. Thanks Paul, for highlighting this new proposal.

2024 , may, updates : The Energy security Secretary highlighted the importance of protecting,' Best and most versatile' (BMV) land , which is essential for food production. The guidance encourages the development of solar projects on brownfield, contaminated, industrial, and lower-quality agricultural land instead of high-grade farmland . This approach aims to avoid compromising the "UKs food security" while still advancing the country's renewable energy goals. The updates have been issued to all councils from gov.

Hi Paul, Would batteries like the Tesla Mega packs be a possible solution for absorbing the excess power which the turbines regularly produce? By the way, I think you are doing a fantastic and essential job. Mont.
@rjones6219
@rjones6219 16 күн бұрын
@@andrewmonteith4802the quick answer Andrew is no. Probably the biggest factor is cost. Not just in the building of such a plant, but also running. The batteries consume electricity in their own management, there are energy losses in converting the output from the turbines into DC, for storage, and again when drawing the energy. Any company running such a plant would need to have a guaranteed revenue, just like the wind farms. An energy system, based on traditional sources, coal, gas and nuclear is complex enough. But building a grid based on a mix, adds more layers of complexity, jeopardising reliability, and incurring additional costs. In engineering, there is an acronym KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), renewables go against this ethos.

The plan is simple: you will own nothing and you will be miserable. The Labour plan is steamrollering already with on-shore wind farms being forced through and pay-per-mile, which is essential because there will not be anywhere near-enough electricity to power all of those electric cars.
@mb-3faze
@mb-3faze 5 күн бұрын
Oh dear, how uninformed... think you don't pay-per-mile now when you burn your diesel? Of the cars on Britain's roads, 6% are already electric. Has electricity demand as a whole gone up? No, it hasn't. Put some solar PV on your roof - it's dirt cheap now - less than the depreciation on that dirty diesel - then you can drive for free.

If you look up the credentials of politicians or senior civil servants concerned with net zero and you will see none of them have any pertinent qualifications. Well have to be careful there though, as universities have changed and there are lots of brainwashing courses now on environmental related matters. I graduated in 1981 in engineering and now have three fellowships and have spent 40 years delivering solutions and safety cases for nuclear facilities. So I understand risks from environmental matters. Climate change just isn’t one of them. I have never been challenged by anything climate change related. Engineers can deal with huge challenges. What we really need is wealth to provide the resilient infrastructure and that means reliable non interruptible energy.

Paul I applaud your efforts to convey common sense! Long wave IR is invisible to N2 and to O2, as well as the visible light of the electromagnetic spectrum, and these waves pass unhindered through N2 and O2 -- constituting 95% of the atmosphere. The CO2 molecules (only 0.04% of the atmosphere) can only trap the long wave infrared radiation in the narrow 15 micron band of the electromagnetic spectrum, leaving just a very tiny effect on the upward movment of heat from the earth. These very few photons will be re-radiated (in all directions) within the span of microseconds, and will not be contained in the CO2 molecule. The heat transfer from this tiny radiation can only go from warm to cold as per the 2nd law of thermodynamics. In other words only upwards where the air is colder. The effect being miniscule. This happens with the speed of light, and, if anything, can only speed up the transfer of heat from the Earth's surface. The majority of the heat from the Earth's surface is moved upwards via convection, but at a much slower pace...
@sullivanrachael
@sullivanrachael 18 күн бұрын
Do you have any references for this physics? More people need to be educated about radiation physics and the myth of CO2 driving climate change needs to be proven to be nonsensical. If enough people can get this message all the net-zero lies will be exposed. This is crucial stuff.

Addendum 1: Since the Alarmists proclaim that ALL WARMING is caused by humans, you would consider that only 4% of the 0.04% CO2 content in the atmosphere is caused by human activities. Making the human part of CO2 in the atmosphere 0.0016%. A tiny part of a miniscule part! Addendum 2: Much of the blocking of outgoing heat waves (long wave infrared radiation) in the narrow 15 micron band is already trapped by water vapor. This makes the human caused warming yet even smaller!

@@sullivanrachael Einstein said that the Laws of Thermodynamics will stand till the world's end. These are timestanding basic laws of physics, and are teached in most universities. The German professor Hermann Harde, has done some experiments regarding CO2 trapping heat waves. One obvious empirical experiment done during k00wyd, showed that even if CO2 emissions was decimated no effect on the steady rising CO2 content was measured. And it also did not have any messurable effect on the surface temperature.

Paul, sorry, me again. Theoretically we will actually increase our demand as the EV and heat pump con is forced upon us. That presumably reduces the constraint payment (assuming these muppets actually build a grid up to the job of properly distributing. But as that demand increases so will the need to match the potential for zero wind periods and that can only come from gas fired stations. Even more expense. Milliband lives in cloud cuckoo land as do all net zero enthusiasts. Sadly, the real debate was never had when Theresa May inflicted net zero on us without a clue as to the benefits and cost. Little benefit and massive cost.

Ian, if you do a search for Michael Kelly and Tom Nelson, you'll find a podcast that answers your question. Kelly came up with a figure of nearly £3Tn. But, I think he may have missed something, a traditional coal or gas powered station can last for 60 - 80 years, with a mid life refurbishment. That's 3-4 times longer than a wind turbine. Also, considering the number of wind turbines required, long before the installation neared completion, the first tranche of turbines will have to be replaced. A new version of the Forth bridge.

You make some very convincing points. I have 2 observations. (1) While the current agreement is that wind energy suppliers are paid for what they produce regardless of whether its used or needed - well with the much increased capacity, these agreements could and would have to change. Don't you think so? (2) The 'supplying up to 302,000 homes' with wind energy nearly works if you assume this is only to cover today's direct electricity requirements. Yes? This is almost a plausible fudge. But I agree, that if the government is pushing for all homes to scrap gas boilers in favour of electricity operated heat pumps, then you should - if honest - take the 100% energy needs per home into account. What gets me about Miliband is that he has argued that energy prices would be lower now if only we had invested earlier in more renewables. But surely its the opposite. With more government investments, the costs would now be higher.

In Australia they sold cheap solar panels to residential customers, there’s so much energy coming on to the grid, the grid operators have lost control of the grid.

Just to be clear as there is so much confusion. There was NOT a ban on onshore windmills, just a requirement that they needed the support of the community. MiliTwat has junked that and is considering making himself the sole approver of onshore windmills.

I've lived in the same house since 1990. Back then, we were paying £35 a month for electricity (note, we're all electric, no gas) According to the inflation calculator, my bill would now be around £84 all things being equal. What do I pay? £208 a month for a 3 bed semi, and we rarely have the heat on in the bedrooms (old school, eh!). And how much higher will they become with Ed Miliband's ruinous actions?

It’s seems that Ed has instructed the licensing authorities to not authorise the North Sea drilling licenses. We don’t need cheap energy and what’s cheaper than free wind and sunshine? If only it was that simple?

I have an interest in science but never took it further than high school. I understand everything you say its not massively complicated and I don't believe for one second the people in charge don't get it. Which leads me to believe it not about what's best for the country but what's best for certain peoples bank accounts. Love that you're getting this information out there for everyone to see, but sadly I fear it's falling on death ears when it comes to the powers that be.

Thank you again for all that you do please can you explain stakeholder capitalism as prequel to net zero as we feel it is essential to understand why we are being sold climate alarmism. Can you include this as part of your talk to the people in Trafalgar Square or arrange for you or someone else to( yellow forum on you tube please watch it Paul it explains in simple terms as stakeholder communism !! ) as l fear unless people understand the WEF endgame and how they want to manipulate us to be fully controlled they will not pay enough attention many people l talk to do not know about WEF ( ie. surely governments on behalf of what the people want should control ESG and not the banks !!) Also if you or someone else can explain to the people why they use the tactics of communists to ridicule others it will help people be more resilient to their methods and not become distracted by their name calling etc and stay on track with just facts evidence and truth…go get’em you are wonderful we love you ❤❤

@@ClimateRealismin fairness gravity batteries could be designed into the wind turbine tower As could water accumalors (common early last century) Sand batteries situated close to point of use are just 3 examples Problem is they're running to fast for generation while not developing long term storage to keep pace , hench constrate payments (which should be criminalized)
