There's something very unique about playing music on vinyl. It's just more involved. The whole process is almost sacred...lifting the dust cover from the deck, turning on the deck, turning on the mixer, the amp, setting the EQ's...laying the slice of wax on the turntable, pressing the start button, flicking the fader across (or up) and then dropping the needle on. Love it.

The drum n bass coming out of Bristol and London in the early 00s created a scene that was so special. Those of us who were around, buying records, driving around with mates listening to it and going to drum n bass events at that time experienced a really good era in British music. If anyone remembers the DriveBy events at Creation in Bristol drop me a reply - seeing LTJ Bukem, Andy C, Dillinja, Ed Rush and Optical, Bad Company and the rest were some of the best nights of my life :)
