Ed's Golden Nugget Starts Turning Gold!

There's lots of metal work to be done on the Golden Nugget this week! Hillbilly is out sick, so Robby tackles it without him. The Golden Nuggets gets it's first bit of paint! We can start to see what it's going to look like. Papa Dar from FabRats makes a quick camera at the shop and "Matt" & "Trevor" (or maybe Robby and Dinner dressed up) show up to inspect the progress.

It’s honestly so amazing watching this process on everyone’s channel to get it to this point! From going to get the golden nugget from the woods and hauling it back then having it rebuilt mechanically and now getting the body work and paint done! I think ed is really going to be blown away when he sees it roll up looking new for him, aswell as towing his old bike rebuilt!

I've been watching this project from the beginning, and I have to tell you that from first glance it may look like you guys are flakes because of all the craziness and joking around you have and do in the shop. But damn Robby... You really know your shit man. That paint job looks freakin' awesome. Can hardly stand to wait to see the finished product. I wouldn't be surprised if Ed broke out bawling like a baby in happiness when you guys do the final reveal to him. That's gonna be a day we all remember for the rest of our lives.

The part with the roof bars is unreal. If that Suzuki stays running for 500 years nobody will ever notice if there are any dents or high spots in those parts. For Robby they have to be perfect though, a true artist and perfectionist.

Paul should redo those rear shock mounts so the bolts/studs are in line with the shocks, the bushings will be destroyed in a couple weeks or the one end of the shocks will break or bend

Yep, you'll get metal-on-metal and the stud will wear down and break off where the shock is hitting it.

Yep, I agree, that will need to be fixed. At those angles the shocks would need to be mounted on Heim joints instead of a standard rubber bushing.

I don't know what Ed is going to do with the Golden Nugget but I hope it makes the rounds of car shows in the area and is featured in some off road and car magazines. So much work has gone into this project it would be a shame if it disappears into obscurity. BTW- I hope you got plenty of professional quality photos of the Nugget and the Banana. Can't wait to see what you do with the new Charger. If it were mine, I would probably go resto-mod.
