@@kuranhelix278 But there was hardly a breakdown there. I’ve seen many other bands perform on live television and it’s been far heavier. This is just the usual BMTH hyperbole 🥱 I like BMTH. But people act like they’re revolutionary. They’re really not. I mean, fair play to them. It’s a massive platform. But come on.

@@SP32118 Yeah but think of it this way, so many people have been introduced to heavier music now because of this collaboration, probably lots of younger kids who have only listened to pop music will be joining the ranks. BMTH have the guts to sing with Ed Sheeran and a whole host of other artists which include Babymetal, Dani Filth has even gone on record to say that he would love to work on something with Ed Sheeran. It's awesome to see that artists from such different genres of music would want to work together. Look at it for the positives :)

So hard rock and metal was fairly mainstream in the early 2000s but lost popularity in the late to mid 2000s, and it's pretty much remained that way ever since, especially in America with the rapid increase in popularity of rap, but Bring Me The Horizon has remained a chart topper among all genres, now with the pandemic people are struggling in ways they never have before and have been turning to more intense and emotional music to help them cope, people have been quoted as saying that Bring Me The Horizon(BMTH) seems ti be the band that most people turn to and could be the band that puts hard rock/metal back on the map and at the top of ALL charts and the very existence of this performance is clear evidence that this is true, pairing Ed Sheeran with BMTH?!? That's crazy!! And for a live performance!! I think it's definitely true that BMTH is doing exactly what people are saying and I'm super excited!! And that's exactly what I was thinking: they need to record this in studio!!
