Hey Matt, just wanted to let you know I’m so grateful to you because I found I have a talent for playing the drums soon after I found your channel in 2020. I was air drumming to your covers for hours during the lockdown. I promised myself I would learn how to play the drums. Ever since then my ardor for drumming can’t be dampened. Your dedication and great drumming prowess is what helps me get through tough times. I had to have an operation a few weeks ago. I was in my room in the hospital, pacing up and down nervously, preparing to go to the OR. The tension was piling up... I wished I could have brought my drumsticks and pad with me haha and so I went on to air drum to some of my favorite covers of yours. This took the edge off my anxiety right away. I had a feeling you would cover this. I already know it’s going to be good. While Kingslayer might be my top requested cover (and probably the same with some others as well), I think you should also consider covering some Japanese songs, especially YOASOBI. Their songs such as Racing Into The Night, Gunjou, and RGB are very musical, creative, and sophisticated. They have English versions of these songs too if Japanese doesn’t match your tastes. I think a lot of your fans, especially your Asian and Hispanic fans would like to hear you cover a YOASOBI song.

As a soundtec i really wanna know the recording setup with the mics amd stuff. It sounds really good! I guess triggers on the toms and kick, but the cymbals? They sound so consistent, like they got close miced and I can't even spot overheads. I don't wanna throw samples in there but maybe? Anyway: played awesome and the sound is pure perfection for the style
