Honestly, there are so many singers that won't even go on a radio/tv station and sing their OWN song live. You can really tell that Ed has something special. And I really like the fact that he's not afraid to try something unknown like this. It might not be as perfect as something he'd put on his cd but it's still pretty amazing.

People say "better than lorde's version", do you realise lorde created the song out of nothing and with out it no other versions or covers would exist. It is easy to tweak a song and you might prefer it because you prefer ed sheeran's voice or the acoustic feel but covers should never be compared to originals it's just stupid. Now while I agree with this statement in some regards, I also want to point out the flaws. See, let's consider the cell phone. Now if you don't know what the original cell phone looked like, please click this link www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/05/the-evolution-of-cell-phone-design-between-1983-2009/ It is the first picture. That person created it out of nothing. Thought, yes I like telephones, but I don't want to be limited by this cord! So they thought, wireless. And BOOM, first cell phone was invented. Now every cell phone made after that (please scroll down the above link for examples, again, if you don't know what they look like) was a, what you like to call, "tweaked" version of the original. You're saying we shouldn't compare these tweaked versions to the original. Now, if you never compared today's cell phones to the original cell phones, I would be waiting in a chair for my doctor to call me back while playing 2048 and listening to music on a little device and you would be walking around with a brick in your pocket. So please, while I agree we need to owe credit to Lorde for this amazing song, we need to not forget the beauty of compare and contrast. It's a method that has been around for as long as it has for a reason.

Seth Hardley Allie made a similar point that I made. Personally, I don't like Lorde's version. I'm more of an acoustic type of guy when it comes to music. I much prefer instruments to computer generated sounds. That is why I like this version better than the original. Yes, Lorde was the creator, but I like this version better. That's not saying Lorde didn't create it. It just means that in my opinion, this is a better rendition of it.
