Devlin teached him how to rap there's a video of them both on the streets of London and Ed is making bars in the video and devlin and him are just drunk spitting bars a lot of which appear in his music just another reason to watch devlins freestyles and music 🙄 they have a song together and it's pretty sick it's called "young guns" Ed is actually really good at rapping and a lot of people don't know his early stuff. I was listening to him before he was famous and homeless.

Before he blew up he did an album called No. 5 Collaborations Project where he made songs with a load of grime artists like JME, P Money, Wretch, Sway, Devlin, Ghetts etc, it's amazing. There is a remix on there of one of his biggest early songs (A Team) called Little lady ft Mikill Pane, you need to react to it. It tells the story of a young girl who's mum sends her to the UK from their home country to have a better life living with her uncle but she suffers abuse etc from him. It's heart wrenching because it really happens more than people realise over here but how the story is told is pure artistry.
