We lost someone important in the family and the line "I know there's been pain this year, but it's time to let it go" hits me right in the chest and brings tears to my eyes. honestly, its really hard to get the classic christmas music down, so many good christmas songs just fall short of being memorable just because the classics are so hard to compete with. this just feels like a classic christmas song. a perfect mix of catchy, cringe, and calming, makes you sing along even if you feel embarrassed doing so. elton johns voice is still just as powerful as its ever been. and ed has really grown on me. and damn do their voices mix well together.

This sounds like a real collaboration of their styles the way it is written and produced. There are definitely Elton John aspects to this song as well as Ed Sheeran's style. Neither dominate in their styles and it really works well.

I love that despite Ed leaving Elton behind for each scene (understandable though due to how physical it is), when Ed *is* with Elton, he always looks at Elton and smiles broadly to include him.
